Guys, I have a problem with installing ZOOM on my suse 10.0 box. I have installed all the perl scripts, yaz and the zoom installation fails with three errors when the module is tested. Please help. regards Manillah

Entering Patron Details

I have installed Koha 2.2.9 and have set one year as the Enrolment Period value in all borrowers in the Borrower Categories parameter. I then use Patrons/Add New Patron ( cgi-bin/koha/members/memberentry.pl ) to enter a new patron, leaving Expiry Date blank and setting a patron category. According to the documentation, the expiry date should be automatically calculated to one year after joining. However when I then display the patron details, neither date (registration, expiry) is displayed. If I attempt to issue an item to that patron I get the message "Patron's card is expired" (indicating date is null?). Why isn't the date calculated and inserted? What else must I do? If instead I want to enter the date, what formats are valid? None I have used achieve entry and display of the date. Many thanks, Opal

Koha beta/final release date?

Hello all. Apologies if this question isn't right for this forum. I was just wondering if there was an official release date for the Koha 3 beta and/or final Koha 3.0.0 release. I thought I had heard "Feb 1" and "Mar 1" respectively, but maybe that's old information? Rachel and all other Koha Users and Soon to be Koha Users, The idea for the IRC meeting is NOT to create another user group, it is simply to follow-up on responses from USA Koha users and soon-to-be Koha users in the planning ALAMW08 KUDOS meeting. Many people who were not able to attend requested a method for having a tool for online-real-time meetings. The intention for the IRC meeting is to have the participants discuss and share issues, which will then be shared with John, so those can be part of the information at the PLA Conference meeting. Again, it is NOT intended to take the place of the PLA meeting at all. As you know, by building a strong user group, the users have the ability to help make the Koha ILS stronger and LibLime grow as a company, while users learn and help one another. It's a win, win, win! I will talk with John Brice today, having seen his email yesterday for the first time. I humbly apologize for any misunderstandings that have occurred.
