System out of virtual memory

Colleagues, I am trying to install koha 2.2.9. but my system is poping up a error message "Your system is low on virtual memory". My system is an IBM Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz, 512 RAM. The virtual memory paging file is set up at 768 MB (being 1.5 times the size of RAM). I have tried to increase it 1152 MB, but the message is still popping up. All the other software Apache, MySql, Perl have all installed successfully. Cant figure out what could be the problem. Please assist. I am trying to install koha 3 beta 2 on Ubuntu Server 7.10 using Xubuntu desktop but I am having problem installing one of the Perl modules. *Makefile.PL: Warning: prerequisite Data::Dumper 2.12108 not found. We have 2.121.* Could anyone point to me where I can get said file because the one on CPAN is version 2.121? thanks!

problem importing marc records

from staging to managing the staged records to completing the import... my server running nothing but Koha 3.0 (only 2GB partition) it's a test server so that's all that was available atm.. appeared to be running out of space... in /var/log/mysql I noticed: -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 1611014 2008-04-07 12:01 mysql-bin.000006 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 105149302 2008-04-07 12:01 mysql-bin.000005 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 672 2008-04-07 12:01 mysql-bin.index -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 104955729 2008-04-07 11:57 mysql-bin.000004 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 104889615 2008-04-07 11:52 mysql-bin.000003 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 104987514 2008-04-07 11:47 mysql-bin.000002 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql adm 104906029 2008-04-07 11:42 mysql-bin.000001 honestly having no clue what they do/did were used for... I assumed(yes we know what that means :) that these were sort of temp/log files of what mysql-bin was doing ...so in essence recording every single transaction or something... and the one with the highest number kept incrementing...and would get to it's size limit it seems every 5 min... so right now I'm monitoring and deleting each of the ones below the highest numbered(in filename)...attempting to stave-off the 'out of disk space' which was causing this process to 'hang' on Friday. Ubuntu 8.04 and Koha 3

I have noticed that Ubuntu 8.04 LTS - desktop and server - is set for release later this week. We are currently running Ubuntu 7.10. Does anyone have any thoughts on how well Koha 3 would (or would not) work with Ubuntu 8.04? Cannot set library name

Hi, i followed the debian etch installation guide and here is what i get when i try to set library ( the 1st link on the top right side. ) i have beta2 installed. To the best of my knowledge, renewals are defined per itemtype in Koha 2.2.9 and 3b2. There isn't a way to define them per borrower category. -- Jesse

Generate Barcode

Hello Sir/Madam, I have successfully installed Koha-2.2.9 on fedora core 7. I am getting one problem in Parameter setting "Generate Barcode". There are several options eg, 1. Type of Interval 2.From 3. to etc....I did't understand *Types of interval,* *from *& *to. *In Types of interval there r two options (a)Continous range of items (b) Individual codes..When I click on Individual Codes..Inventory code appear. What it is...??? ** Pls give me some hints or example so that I can configure barcode. Regds, Anjan Sarkar

Having upgraded my Koha with the one-line fix that was the source of my last problem, I'm now having this problem: When I try to add a new biblio, I get this immediately after clicking "Save": ------------------------------- The following fatal error has occurred: Bad index while coercing array into hash at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 2267. internal server error

Hi i managed to install koha-2.2.9 ( i installed it on Ubuntu 6.06 )but i think it has a problem . whenever i run http://192.168.1.173 (my computer ip address) window dispays: "welcome to koha" and quickly disappears and an error message appears : internal server error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, kkr(a)yahoo.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
