The my.cnf is located at /etc/my.cnf. Below is the info. I don't seem to have a bind-address. Patron enrollment period

When I add a new patron in version 3, their expiry date is set for one year from now, but in patron categories, I have them set for 60 months (5 years). Changed IP - Can't connect to mysql server

I had to change the IP scheme of my network. I have changed the interfaces, hosts and koha.conf files to reflect the new IP. When I try to access Koha by typing http://koha.domain.com:8050 I get a 500 internal server error. DBD::mysql install error

I am working on a fresh install of Debian 4 trying to install DBD::mysql First problem, the file would not install. Evidently the mysql_config file that lives in /usr/bin did not get installed with the mysql-server install. I copied the file from a working Ubuntu 7.10 installation. Salvete! I vastly prefer the trigger Symbol scanners over the Metrologics. I think they read nicer, you can trigger them when the auto holder doesn't work right, and the stand seems to have it work right automatically much better. If you like torturing yourself, Koha will work with a CueCat. Cheers, Brooke

"Software error" on Web page

I spent yesterday trying to get a fresh install of Debian Etch and Koha3Beta following the instructions maintained by Joshua Ferraro at http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=blob;f=INSTALL.debian;h= 1c35e8098c561f3f563b9c8f5f7e5844c60cdab5;hb=HEAD. After many false starts I finally got to this point on my web browser when connecting to both the 80 and 8080 ports. I thought all the cpan/Perl modules had loaded without error but I guess not. Debian fun continues

Thanks to all who have offered advice recently. I discovered that part of the problem in my first install was that I skipped a step when installing Koha, the dselect debian packages. I finally did a clean install of the server software and started again. The only problem I had and I finally resolved it was with ImageMagick. You need to install PerlMagick as well to make everything work. Now my problem is probably very simple, but I did not have any problems like this with Ubuntu 7.10. I am using Debian Etch and I am having trouble getting port 80 or 8080 to work properly. I can go to the console (using Gnome) and use the browser to go to http://127.0.0.1 <http://127.0.0.1/> or http://127.0.0.1:8080 <http://127.0.0.1:8080/> and everything is fine. When I use the IP address I get the default IP Apache web page ("It Works!). Doesn't matter if I specify a port or not. When I edit the conf file for koha and put in the IP address, it works, but then I lose the ability to use phpmyadmin.
