Expiry date less then the Joining date

Hi, I am using koha 2.2.9 and I want to know is there any check on expiry date and joining date when adding a patron. I find out that user(admin) can save expiry date less then the joining date. there should be a check of date to restict the user to add the expiry date not less then the joining date. If a user add the date of joining "12/02/2008"then the expiry date should be greater or equal to the joining date. If any body has done this please forward. Koha 3 - can't delete sample libraries

Hi. When I installed Koha 3 beta 2 I chose to populate the database with the provided samples. I was able to delete most of the sample libraries but several libraries refuse to delete. Any ideas? Paul

help wanted in "Edit the joining date"

Hi, I am working on koha 2.2.9. I have a little Problem about the joining date. if i want to edit the joining date and save it, when edit a patron, can u help me. I mean that for the first time i have add a patron, the joing date i entered was wrong and i want to edit it again and add the correct date, how should i do it? I have also made a little change in the file "memberentry.tmpl" and modify the line <th>Joining date: </th> <td colspan="4"></td> modified line <input type="text" name="joining" size="12" maxlength="10" value="" /> this shows me the text box of joining date but changes are not saved in database. can some one guide me. biblio.pm error

Hi All, I've just gone to log back into the admin end of my Koha and got this message" --- Software error: Can't call method "fields" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/ lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1587. CGI::Carp --- This is reflected in the apache error log, ie "additem.pl : Can't call..." I'm guessing that koha is attempting to take me back to the screen I was on last, failing and giving up. Does anyone know what has happened, other than some file has corrupted? -custard

transferring information

Does anyone know if there is a way to transfer all the books I have on our old, really old, version of KOHA computer to the new 3.0 version that our IT guy installed on another computer. He said the version we are using now is so old that he couldn't just update it. I hate to think that I will have to input every book again. Our IT guy is excellent, but knows almost nothing about library stuff. I know nothing about computers. Thanks, Suzanne Gilbert

Update Debian and Koha ceases to work...

So I did a full dist-upgrade of Debian Lenny the other day (following the whole SSL debacle) and now Koha will no longer open. This is just a test machine, but I like to have everything working so we can continue testing. Anyway at first the Apache error log looked like this: --------- BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /home/myuser/kohaclone/opac/opac-main.pl line 22. Can't locate CGI/Session.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /home/myuser/kohaclone /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.0 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /home/myuser/kohaclone/C4/Auth.pm line 26. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /home/myuser/kohaclone/C4/Auth.pm line 26. Compilation failed in require at /home/myuser/kohaclone/opac/errors/500.pl line 21. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /home/myuser/kohaclone/opac/errors/500.pl line 21. ---------- I found that my Perl modules were actually located under 5.8.0. I fixed that just using a symbolic link, and most errors went away. Problems with Z39.50 clients

Hello , I am using Koha 3 Beta, but when I configure the Z39.50 clients, the searching in other libraries don 't work, the other library is another installation of Koha 3 in a machine in the same network. How can I know the zebra's database name and the hostname. Thanks.
