Dear All, It is the very important to all, Because when we take reports the statements are giving due data, name of the patron, patron phone number and title information (biblio information) But there is no particulars of the item. The same biblio or title ( if more items ) may issued to more patrons. How we recognise which item was issued to a particular patron. display of call number, shelving location on OPAC search result

I have been trying to display the call number and shelving location on our OPAC search result. So far without success and Googling it did not help either. I have configured on the Administration | System Preferences | Searching | * OPACItemsResultsDisplay *itemdisplay : show full location of items (branch+location+callnumber) as in staff interface but it seems this change does not have any effect on the Normal View search display, it only show Item Type, Status, Last Seen, Location has a column but no entry, call number nor branch do not have any column at all On the staff client interface I can see the Location, branch with the other details and there is a column for Collection and call number but no entry However, on MARC view Call Number and Shelving Location is shown with their corresponding MARC tags What steps have I missed? What other parameters should I set? Mon

Hi! I dont't know if this happens to anyone using Ubuntu, but to avoid confusion I would like to report my experience regarding this matter, hoping it could help someone who is baffled (as I was) with the missing files and directories under /var/run after rebooting. Issuing this command to start the Zebra server : *sudo zebrasrv -f /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml* produces the error: *08:25:25-23/04 [fatal] lock file /var/lock/koha/zebradb/biblios/zebrasrv.pid [No such file or directory]* Fortunately this has been fixed (Thanks! Galen) with a patch to koha-zebra-ctl.sh to create the subdirectories under /var/run if needed. However, running the same command again (*sudo zebrasrv -f /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml*) still produces the same error* * To prevent this from happening I followed the instruction on how to run Zebra in daemon mode. This will use the patched koha-zebra-ctl.sh that will create the subdirectories under /var/run if needed* **Option 2: run the Zebra processes as daemons, and add to startup process: Note that references to $SCRIPT_DIR refer to the directory where Koha's command-line scripts are installed, e.g., /usr/share/koha/bin. Zebra Server: $ sudo ln -s ${SCRIPT_DIR}/koha-zebra-ctl.sh /etc/init.d/koha-zebra-daemon (Note: ${SCRIPT_DIR} is /usr/share/koha/bin/ by default in a standard install) $ sudo update-rc.d koha-zebra-daemon defaults ( Note: see man chkconfig(8) on other distros ) $ sudo ${SCRIPT_DIR}/koha-zebra-ctl.sh start Zebraqueue Daemon: $ sudo ln -s ${SCRIPT_DIR}/koha-zebraqueue-ctl.sh /etc/init.d/koha-zebraqueue-daemon $ sudo update-rc.d koha-zebraqueue-daemon defaults ( Note: see man chkconfig(8) on other distros ) $ sudo ${SCRIPT_DIR}/koha-zebraqueue-ctl.sh start *Since Zebra server now runs in daemon mode, and added to the startup process, the problem on missing files and subdirectories under /var/run on reboot, on Ubuntu, is fixed. * Thanks! I understand Koha ver 3.0 beta can work on windows and I have tried to download this verson so many time and can not locate the installation file in other words the setup file. Barcode generation errors

Hi all, When trying to print barcodes or accessing printer config, I get an "Internal Server Error". OPAC missing files

Hello When I connect to the OPAC the response is very slow. In the koha-opac-error_log I have several entries of this kind: [Tue Apr 22 14:03:39 2008] [error] [client 83.78.131.31] File does not exist: /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/intranet-tmpl, referer: http://bibliothek.ksobwalden.ch/ What is wrong here? (intranet-tmpl shoudn't be loaded with the OPAC??) Cheers Beda

System out of virtual memory

Colleagues, I am trying to install koha 2.2.9. but my system is poping up a error message "Your system is low on virtual memory". My system is an IBM Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz, 512 RAM. The virtual memory paging file is set up at 768 MB (being 1.5 times the size of RAM). I have tried to increase it 1152 MB, but the message is still popping up. All the other software Apache, MySql, Perl have all installed successfully. Cant figure out what could be the problem. Please assist.
