And honestly if people are saying that they don't use and are reporting hearsay, they are badmouthing the product. So if the module does not work for you, fine, say why. Several have told me, "they've heard it leaves a lot to be desired," but can't give me a specific reason why." IE she was making the point that she does use and is happy with it. I inferred no disrespect of anyones opinion, and knowing Rosalie I know she meant no disrespect either. Overdue location in mysql

Hi all, I'm doing a few custom reports for Koha 2.2.9, and can't seem to find an "overdue" field in the Koha MySQL database anywhere?? Am I just not seeing it or does it use different terminology ? Thanks , -Scott Owen Alma Public Schools

Actually, I like the acquisitions module and wish I could use it. Unfortunately, I don't have an acquisitions budget and rely solely on donations. Different libraries in different parts of the world acquire their books by different means. Koha Acqusitions is designed and well organised for a library where orders are placed several months in advance of publication. Koha Acquisitions takes splendid care of the budget over a number of different item lines. We always know, throughout the year, pretty exactly how much we have spent, how much we have committed and how much budget remains in each of the budget lines. Acquisitions has some very sophisticated programming that takes care of the recommended retail price (which we use as the replacement price), various and variable discounts from different suppliers, variable exchange rates, postage and transport costs, local taxes and still comes out with the right price that we actually pay for each item. And it adjusts the budget accordingly. This functionality is extremely important to us, and it works well. Please, American librarians, don't badmouth something you don't know and use. This lady is asking our opinion and is the the United States, if any part of Koha is not meeting the needs of a library, then I think she has the right to an honest answer. While it is nice that Koha is working for you and is meeting your staff, your library, and your patron needs, not everyone shares your experience and your opinion. Can we be respectful of everyone's opinions and those who are coming to the list seeking information? Rather than searching external catalogs, I'd like to have my catalog available for external searching by other groups. What do I report? KOHA Cataloging/Acquisitions Question

Would someone please share with me their user opinion(s) of the pluses and minuses of KOHA Cataloging and KOHA Acquisitions? Any pet peeves, things to be improved, desireable features, ease of use, etc.? (Please feel free to be as detailed as you want to be -- I'm a novice and may not understand abbreviated descriptions.) Colormarq and Koha

mysql password problems during install

Hello All, During the install of Koha 3 on Debian Etch at step 2.1 of the INSTALL.debian.txt document it states: 2.1 Update root MySQL password (if dselect didn't do it for you already) $ sudo mysqladmin password <password> The question is what do you do if dselect already did set a password????? It seems a cache 22 situation to me. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Adios, Robert
