We tried to upgrade our Koha system from 2.2 to 3.0. Installation went ok, but data-conversion failed completely. Installing Koha on Kubuntu 8.04

Hi, I am trying to install Koha on Kubuntu 8.04, and having trouble finding all the right prerequisites. I have added the IndexData repositories to my sources.list, but when I try to install yaz, I get the error that yaz and libyaz3 depend on libssl0.9.7 but it is not installable. I have libssl0.9.8 installed already. Can anyone help, please? add biblio error on 003

After a week of trying with Z39.50, there is finally a bib record in the reservoir! However I am getting an error message that I do not know how to resolve. >From the "Biblios in reservoir" screen Click Add biblio link Click Save button and receive the following error: Can't save this record because the following field aren't filled : []* tag 003 subfield 0 control field in tab 0 As far as I can remember I did not change the Subfield Structure for tag 003 when editing the MARC Frameworks Structures. How can this situation be resolved? books displaying as audio items

Hi, I am using koha-3.00.00-beta2 and everything is displaying fine on the individual item side of things, but in the search results view, books I've added are showing up as 'Audio Cassettes, CDs'. Any ideas what's causing this? Cheers, Kate

I have installed koha on Fedora Core 7 OS. Can anyone help me to answer to the following questions. 1. I have added few records from z39.50 service in my database and have saved them. I have got record number 2 as well. But when I try to search the database I dont see any records in OPAC. How to make this in working. 2. When we add vendors in koha it selects only one currency for the vendor and its bydefault is $. Can we change this to Rs. or some other value. 3. Is there an extensive documentation available for koha. I am trying to find such documentation but I saw zip files and they are not very extensive. 4. How to set branch library. It asks only new library. I didnt find any branch library option. Need help with export after using SQL on database

I am running multiple databases and on one of them was having a hard time getting everything imported into the DB due to problems in the MARC records. I finally got a good clean MARC file created, and as there were problems with the record matching during import due to some extraneous characters in the title I decided to clean the database and import everything in again from the good file. I used phpmyadmin and did a DELETE FROM BIBLIO to remove the records, then the same on the biblioitems and the items tables. I also deleted everything from the import_biblios, import_items, and import_batches tables to clean up all the mess in there. I had used the tool to do some imports, but also used the bulkmarcimport.pl script for others to try and overcome the problems I was encountering. I then did an import using the Tool, and everything came in clean. When I try and export I get a koha.mrc file that is empty. I created another database to test, imported a few records then exported and all went well, so I am thinking my direct SQL action against the DB is what caused the problem. The first biblio in the database is no longer number 1, but starts much higher. The OPAC and staff client seem to be working as designed in all other aspects, but there are many that we have not yet had need for. I am concerned that my direct manipulation of the tables may turn up other problems in the future. We have made a number of configuration changes for this database so I don't want to start over with a clean Koha DB. Any idea how I can get export working correctly? If the answer is start clean, what do I need to do to get all the System Preferences and Bibliographic Frameworks moved over from the current DB to the new one? And will doing that hose things again?
