Ok. I made my way through the parameters/system preferences. Now I'm testing functionality. When I'm trying to add a new record, I get to see the MARC fields with entry boxes for indicators {yeah}, but there are no text entry boxes except for the 245 fields (title) and item types. I've looked at the subfields to see if there is something I'm missing, but I don't see anything different. Thanx. Lenora PS Here's the server information, if that makes a difference... Koha error

Sir/Madam, I installed Koha-3.0 on Ubuntu. After installation Koha database is empty. When I tried to by Web Installer by giving IP Address:8080 (192.168.1.96:8080). I am getting the error. I am not able findout what is problem please anyone can help me to solve this. Hi all, I got an error when I tried to add new biblio to koha. plugins for UNIMARC 210$c and 225$a - does it work in Koha 3?

Dear Colleagues, I am trying to make use of the unimarc_field_210c.pl and unimarc_field_225a.pl plugins in Koha 3.00 with UNIMARC. It does not seem to work. Has anybody tried it? Was anybody of you successful in it? Any help / comments / tips will be appreciated. Best greetings, Janusz Kaczmarek

Questions about Koha

Good Morning All We are looking for another option for our school districts library software instead of buying a $40k upgrade (software and hardware). It seems Koha is a option that a lot public and private libraries are using these days. Our head librarian at our district had some questions about the product and I was wondering if someone would be able to answer them? I found what I thought were the answers on the web site but I wanted to get the answers from a live person who is running the software and may have migrated from another application to Koha. Below are the questions. Are records in standard MARC format? How will the schools be organized, separately or together? We need to have them separate. What are the reporting options? If there is a user friendly query module that allows us to pull wnatever report we need that would be ideal. Can we import records from other sources? Will we need to rebarcode all seven collections? No way we have the resources to rebarcode 100,000+ items. Does the system support AR information? How? Thanks for your help!
