Koha error

Sir/Madam, I installed Koha-3.0 on Ubuntu. After installation Koha database is empty. When I tried to by Web Installer by giving IP Address:8080 (192.168.1.96:8080). I am getting the error. I am not able findout what is problem please anyone can help me to solve this. Hi all, I got an error when I tried to add new biblio to koha. plugins for UNIMARC 210$c and 225$a - does it work in Koha 3?

Dear Colleagues, I am trying to make use of the unimarc_field_210c.pl and unimarc_field_225a.pl plugins in Koha 3.00 with UNIMARC. It does not seem to work. Has anybody tried it? Was anybody of you successful in it? Any help / comments / tips will be appreciated. Best greetings, Janusz Kaczmarek

Questions about Koha

Good Morning All We are looking for another option for our school districts library software instead of buying a $40k upgrade (software and hardware). It seems Koha is a option that a lot public and private libraries are using these days. Our head librarian at our district had some questions about the product and I was wondering if someone would be able to answer them? I found what I thought were the answers on the web site but I wanted to get the answers from a live person who is running the software and may have migrated from another application to Koha. Below are the questions. Are records in standard MARC format? How will the schools be organized, separately or together? We need to have them separate. What are the reporting options? If there is a user friendly query module that allows us to pull wnatever report we need that would be ideal. Can we import records from other sources? Will we need to rebarcode all seven collections? No way we have the resources to rebarcode 100,000+ items. Does the system support AR information? How? Thanks for your help! Obviously accidentally pressing send before completing the email is something I'm also going to have to learn about - apologies! Questions: When cataloguing, if I want to enter an author (using z3950) whose name has a foreign character, for example, an umlaut, the page freezes and I lose the entry. How do I avoid this - what am I doing wrong? How do I edit the author field anyway? By far the majority of my cataloguing is original, records aren't in other libraries elsewhere. Is there a quick and easy way of doing this? It all seems so long winded at the moment, it's enough to make me wish for old-style catalogue cards, at least I could quickly and easily enter data onto those!!! (No not really!) Is anyone else doing manual cataloguing and would like to share thoughts and best practice? What's the best way to enter journal runs? I don't want to check them in, I'm talking about a run of journals that are no longer published, entering them as one item but showing which issues we have, and any indexes etc. .....there will be more!! Stepping through Global Preferences

Ok. I am stepping through settup up Global Preferences for our migration to 3.0. There are some listed in the manual that are not on the screen. I am quite nervous about adding a preference to what appears on the screen. In particular, I am looking at the Authorities preferences and really want BiblioAddsAuthorities and dontmerge. Thanx.
