Koha OPAC not populated?

Hello, First, I would like to offer a belated thanks to Ian, Nora, and Brooke for helping me out with my 952 $o problem a few weeks ago. With their help, I found a regular expression that moved the LC call numbers to $o. Now I have run into a new challenge. I *think* I have gotten my 952 holdings statement correct, and have staged & successfully imported my MARC records into Koha. In the staff client I can see the bib records as well as the holdings information (call number - status - last seen - barcode). However, on the OPAC side, there is nothing. I search for known titles and authors, but there is nothing in the OPAC. I am not sure if there is still some problem with the items/holdings information in my 952s, or if there is a problem with my system settings. I tried adding a 952$a (location) to the records but this seemed to mess things up even more (couldn't see any holdings info on staff client side when I did this). So I don't have a location or "item type" in my holdings statement, and if these are needed, I cannot seem to get them in the right way. Also, don't know if this is related, but I still see "No_Library_Set" in the upper right hand corner of my staff client (even though I am logged in). I have pasted one of my MARC records, below. I welcome any advice you can offer to help me get my OPAC populated. Thanks! Hello Vimal, I don't see why just an announcement about another open source ILS is unfair on the list. My view has always been that open source projects must be aware and try to make the best of other competing or non-competing products that try to fulfill similar needs. It was refreshing to learn about Senayan. Authority and Biblios import

I would like to import authorities (cca 2.800) data and then biblios with links to this authorities. Is there any way to assure this link? I tied this way: before importing the data, I added and unequivocal number to each authority record (beginning with 1 - it will be an import into a new database) and assigned it to the 001 Authority field, and then I added this numbers also to the 100$9 subfield of corresponding bibliog. registrations. I created the MARC record with MarcEdit and then imported both files (authority & bibliog.) with perl bulkauthimport.pl -file /root/Authority.mrc -d perl bulkmarcimport.pl -file /root/Biblio.mrc -d and rebulit zebra indexes. But Koha changed the 001 fields in authorities, so the link doesn't function (or better, it does, but to another authorities). Is there any way of making this link between authorities and bibliog. registrations during the importing in Koha? Thank you Ondrej Mlecka Casa Balthasar Rome

Entering Enhancements and reviewing existing

I have documented the process of adding an enhancement discussed at KohaCon09. It can be found at: http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=instructions&s[]=enhancement If you have things that you are sponsoring if you would follow these instructions so that we all can find your sponsorships! I am also looking for people who would be willing to review the existing 288 "enhancements" to determine if they are all still needed. This would comprise reviewing the request - possibly contacting the originator for clarification, and updating the "Enhancement" request. I see this as a group effort of people currently using the system - maybe 10 people on the committee to start with. I have a blog that I was thinking I would post the numbers to be reviewed and commented on and we would look at 20 a week or so to get all the enhancements up to date. We could maybe post them directly to the list to show interest. I've leave that up to the committee to decide how they want to operate. I'm open to helping, but need HELP! OK, we figured it out with some clues Joe provided. It turns out that the problem was that we were using the 952$b instead of the 952$a for the homebranch. Where koha shows you what field it is looking for the homebrach in can be found in: Home -> System Preferences -> Cataloguing From there, click the "Click to Edit" link that is associated with the NoZebraIndexes preference. Importing Biblio Info but not Copies

We have a school whose DB became corrupt and their copy information is no longer available in their current application. So they are going to be our test bed for our new Koha install. My question is if I just import the biblio information, re-barcode and do the copy info later what is the best way to do this? Thanks Ed Edward J. Hi David, Review the settings in the apache configuration files. Look in /etc/koha/koha-httpd.conf, you should have two virtual hosts defined in there. As your staff client host is working but not the opac check the ip address and port that are defined for the opac. Also, look in /etc/apache2 and make sure both ports are listed in the ports.conf file. If you are using the defaults this should have listen directives for 80 and 8080 in it. All of these are the default files and ports for koha.
