Greetings; The instructions at http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=koha_3_install_guide_ubuntu_hardy work perfectly. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, on an HP Kayak 800mhz 750M ram, 38G, with xfce 4 desktop. My method is to highlight the commands and use copy and paste into an xterm window, I use the middle button on my mouse to copy from the website to the command line interpreter. Even the long perl dependency lists worked great. Very nice job!! thank you, mike re-v --- On Fri, 6/26/09, koha-request(a)lists.katipo.co.nz <koha-request(a)lists.katipo.co.nz> wrote: > From: koha-request(a)lists.katipo.co.nz <koha-request(a)lists.katipo.co.nz> > Subject: Koha Digest, Vol 44, Issue 67 > To: koha(a)lists.katipo.co.nz > Date: Friday, June 26, 2009, 5:12 PM > Send Koha mailing list submissions > to > koha(a)lists.katipo.co.nz > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' > to > koha-request(a)lists.katipo.co.nz > > You can reach the person managing the list at > koha-owner(a)lists.katipo.co.nz > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more > specific > than "Re: Contents of Koha digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. This may be too simple, but have you experimented with the various "Choose Barcode Type (encoding)" in the layout? [Koha-devel] Koha-3.0.3 Stable release
by LAURENT Henri-Damien 26 Jun '09

26 Jun '09

Hi, Some of you might have encountered some problems with 3.0.2 release opac-reserve and holds-transfer-slip was not in tarball. So we are very happy to announce Koha3.0.3 Stable, which fixes those bugs has been released on http://download.koha.org/ Its name is koha-3.00.03.tar.gz You can download file and signatures You can check the integrity of the package; either by verifying the provided GPG signature (.sig) or by comparing the MD5 checksum: 6c7761b26cbc3e515e225e862907944a koha-3.00.03.tar.gz I have also tagged this in Git as "version 3.00.03" v3.00.03 You can download. An extract of release notes is pasted below This release is bugfix only of 3.0.2 release, and doesnot include any new feature. It doesnot add any databases change from 3.0.2. The next release scheduled in July will include features which are now in master but not ported yet to stable because of database change required. That is to say mainly many content enhancement were not integrated Librarything, Syndetics, Baker&Taylor, Babeltheque, and BranchTransferLimits. But we are willing to make them into the next release which will come out as soon as possible in July. Cheers -- Henri-Damien LAURENT 3 major bug fixing: - opac-reserve broken - 3320 - hold-transfer-slip not included in tarball _______________________________________________ Koha-devel mailing list Koha-devel(a)lists.koha.org http://lists.koha.org/mailman/listinfo/koha-devel

Koha Bulk Addition of Items
by Artistyc 26 Jun '09

26 Jun '09

I'm a librarian for a school which manages all student texts. Needless to say I have a large number of each textbook, somewhere around 150 to 200 for each. We had previously stored these in a Non-marc based access database. I'm curious if there is a way to add multiple items simultaneously. through the GUI it is 1 at a time and the MARC import utility looks like it would require me to make a marc record for each when all I want is an item note. is this possible? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Koha-Bulk-Addition-of-Items-tp24186225p24186225.html Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
