hello there I have developed a database using Koha. It is a great system, easy to use, and powerful. I need to add a feature to the system , but I am not a programmer. I need someone to do this for me and I am willing to pay for all the work. What I want to do is this: 1-control the access to the OPAC, I want only authorize people with password to access the OPAC. 2- I want to have a panel for adding new users and create passwords for them, 3- I want to know how many time does a user access the system, 4- I have PDF files with full text articles in the database, I want to be able to know how many PDF file have been downloaded by each users. here is my email if you interested: ali(a)alshowaish.com best regard Ali _________________________________________________________________ Insert movie times and more without leaving Hotmail®. http://windowslive.com/Tutorial/Hotmail/QuickAdd?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_Tutor…

Strange Label Printing Error
by Scott Marriott 01 Oct '09

01 Oct '09

For some strange reason not every call number prints out on the spine label (I've tried both the existing template and a few of our own.) It seems to manly focus on records with more than one item. I've looked fairly quickly with no luck. Has anyone else run into this problem? Scott smarriott(a)gmail.com

Minor search detail
by Cab Vinton 30 Sep '09

Searching for "hms surprise" does not retrieve this record (title is "H.M.S. Surprise"): http://splnh.kohalibrary.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=19316 This search does work of course: "h.m.s. surprise". Explanation I was given is that zebra does not support mapping characters to NULL. If anyone has any pull with the zebra folks, this is something that they should address. We added a 246 (variant title form) to take care of the problem. Of course, have not idea how many other titles in our catalog might be affected by this quirk :-) Cheers, Cab Vinton, Director Sanbornton Public Library Sanbornton, NH

Koha won't copy MARC 82 field to "o-Full Call Number" field in item record
by Brian Thomas 30 Sep '09

30 Sep '09

Hi everyone, I have the Koha system preferences set to the values "ddc" and "082ab" but Koha still isn't populating the "o-Full call number" field on the item record. I can get logs from our IT guy if that will help solve it. Thanks in advance for your help!! Brian Thomas Director of Library Services Saint Mary's College High School

Next Foundation Meeting?
by Nicole Engard 29 Sep '09

When are we doing the next foundation meeting? I ask because I want to fix the survey with all of your comments so that we can get some answers post-research. If you answered the survey already - remember it's just a preliminary survey and you're supposed to be doing some research on the options - and discussing on list with everyone. Nicole

Amazon content
by Chris Morrison 29 Sep '09

29 Sep '09

Hey guys, Quick question. We have all the Amazon info turned on (AWS Key and ID tag in place, etc.). We are pulling jackets, but no content. The Amazon reviews tab isn't even showing up in the OPAC. My first thought is that we might be configured to download content to the server and distribute as requested (see Ferraro's comments here<http://osdir.com/ml/culture.libraries.ngc4lib/2006-12/msg00145.html>), but I don't know how to check that or how to change it to downloading info per request. Or maybe that isn't the problem at all! List of options on: AmazonAssocTag, AmazonContent, AmazonSimiliarItems, AWSAccessKeyID, OPACAmazonContent, and OPACAmazonSimilarItems. FYI, we're running Koha 3.00.02.012 with Zebra 2.0.41. Thoughts?
