Add item error
by Brenner, Martin 06 Oct '09

06 Oct '09

Hello all, I noticed in the archives that someone else has had this problem. I can add a MARC record, but when I try to add an item associated with it on my new 3.00.03 Koha install on Ubuntu 9.04 I get the following error: Can't call method "append_fields" on an undefined value at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0/MARC/File/SAX.pm line 92. at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0/MARC/File/SAX.pm line 92 Bug number 3520 was opened and a patch was made. My question is, How do I get and/or apply this patch? Sorry if this is a simple question. I am new to Koha and the set-up. Thanks in advance, Martin Martin Brenner Head Librarian Whitfield School 175 S Mason Rd St. Louis MO 63141

US Koha Conference NOT KOHACON NZ
by David Schuster 05 Oct '09

05 Oct '09

I wanted to see what type of interest there is in another conference in the US and who would be willing to help/host/committee/present... There has been lots of discussion about other issues, but thought we should refocus our energy to helping each other. I know Chris is working on a conference in NZ - KohaCon 2010 anniversary - but many of us I know won't be able to attend. I don't want to take any thunder from that though as well... What are peoples thoughts - concerns... Some people indicated if there is no other option than NZ maybe their administration would let them go to NZ - I want to hear what people have to say. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/US-Koha-Conference-NOT-KOHACON-NZ-tp25755580p25755580… Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

git.koha.org down
by Chris Cormack 05 Oct '09

Hi all git.koha.org appears to be down at the moment (for a couple of hours now). I'm guessing Liblime are aware of it and are working on getting it back up. In the meantime http://repo.or.cz/w/koha.git is up to date. Maybe we need to think about shifting git.koha.org to a different server? Chris

OPAC Search
by Marcel de Rooy 05 Oct '09

05 Oct '09

Hi, Should the following behavior in Koha 3.00.03 be expected normally? I save a record from a Z3950 search but I do not create an item. So I only have this title record. I see in the zebra update log that a new record was exported. Unfortunately, I cannot find the title in the OPAC. Now, I create an item for this title. Again I see in the zebra update log that a record was exported. At this moment I can find the title in the OPAC. Since I can find other title records without item records, I wonder what is going on. What happened at the first zebra update? Any input is welcome! Thanks, Marcel de Rooy

Way to search by acqdate in opac?
by David Schuster 05 Oct '09

05 Oct '09

I can limit by so many other things in the opac is there a way to limit my search say acqdate > 7/1/2009? or something similar? I see part of this search in the "most popular" - opac-topissues.pl - but I don't want top issues, I want just most recent. I was able to use some of this in the URL to limit, but I had to have a search query. top issues URL http://library/cgi-bin/koha/opac-topissues.pl?limit=10&timeLimit=6&do_it=1 I can do - http://catalog.pisd.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?&limit=branch:134 and get a list of EVERYTHING at that 134 branch - is there a way to combine these 2 functions to say all "new items" in the last 3 months for branch 134? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Way-to-search-by-acqdate-in-opac--tp25692784p25692784… Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

LDAP Update problem
by Barry Cannon 05 Oct '09

05 Oct '09

Hello, Our site is using LDAP authentication against Koha. For the most part, it is fine. However, recently we noticed that when a user logs into the OPAC their Branch Code changes back to the default value in the koha-conf.xml file. I have tried turning off <update> in the conf file but this hasn't made any difference. Would anybody know of any potential problems to making the branch code in the borrowers table allow NULL values? This way we could leave out the default location code and there shouldn't be any over writing issues. by Twinamatsiko matsiko Smith 02 Oct '09

Hey colleagues, Is there yet an option or a script to add more items(about 1000 items) of the same record for-example 1000 copies of a title "Linux networking and administration" with bar-codes incrementing automatically. -- ..............
