Re: [Koha] OPAC View problems
by Koller Wolfgang 03 Dec '09

03 Dec '09

Hi Benson, No problem. I had the same issue so it was easy for me to answer :). Basically the patch does nothing but adding one statement to opac-details.tmpl. So you can also do it manually. Just open the file (opac-details.tmpl) in an editor, go to line 295. There should be something like "Checked out" (if you have the English template). Right after it add a new line with: Save and close the file and try it again. I got the link to the patch you sent me. Problem is, our koha verion is not the git version, and i am not quite familiar wit how to deploy the patch. I hope you wont mind giving me some tips, i will really be grateful. Thank you. Benson Hi Benson, Checkout the patch which can be found here: http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=commit;h=3c7df59d40649217de… <https://service.nhm-wien.ac.at/go/http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=…> <http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=commit;h=3c7df59d40649217de… <https://service.nhm-wien.ac.at/go/http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=…> > Apply it to opac-details.tmpl and check if that fixes your problem (it did for me). Serials Subscriptions Issue
by Marisa Wood 03 Dec '09

03 Dec '09

Hi all, I'm having an issue when entering serial subscriptions. Most of the time the volume numbers don't turn over despite what is input in the "rollover at" field. Occasionally it works, so I'm baffled. The Numbering/Prediction Pattern always looks right, but then when I actually receive the issue in which the volume number should have changed, the number/issue will have reset to 1, but the volume number will be the same. For example, the last issue received was vol 45 num 8, and the next expected is vol 45 num 1. Has anyone else experienced this and/or figured how to make it work? I don't see any difference between the subscriptions that have rolled over and those that haven't, but I'm guessing I'm missing something basic! I'm on version 3.00.00.107. Query terms truncated
by Stacy Pober 02 Dec '09

02 Dec '09

We are using Koha version 3.01.00.037 with LibLime Enterprise Koha build: 4.0000010. We have QueryFuzzy, QueryStemming and QueryAutoTruncate all set to OFF but the truncation still seems to be happening in every search. Is there another setting to suppress trunction of search terms that I may be missing? Also, title searches seem to be searching the MARC 505 notes field, which includes the titles of each chapter, rather than the title for the work as a whole. Is this a behavior that can be altered? In most library catalog systems, a title search does not search in the table of contents/notes fields. Examples: A title search for: will of god brings up records which do not have either the word will nor the word god in the record. "No Other Book" <http://man.waldo.kohalibrary.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=1…> which has William and Goddess in the notes fields. and "A godly hero : the life of William Jennings Bryan" <http://man.waldo.kohalibrary.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=2…> I hope that this is an issue someone on this list can help me with, as I have been unable to get an answer from LibLime after multiple inquiries. -- Stacy Pober Information Alchemist Manhattan College Library Riverdale, NY 10471 stacy.pober(a)manhattan.edu
