Is Bundle::KohaSupport still useful ?
by Senthil Anand 06 Dec '09

06 Dec '09

Hi, Is the Bundle::KohaSupport<http://search.cpan.org/%7Ekoha/Bundle-KohaSupport-0.31/lib/Bundle/KohaSuppo…>module in CPAN still useful for the latest version of Koha. I came to know about it only recently and it seems to be a better alternative than installing too many CPAN modules by hand. The fact that it has not been updated for a long time is the reason for my doubt. Regards, Senthil

Authority Searching
by Norman Warrington 05 Dec '09

05 Dec '09

I'm just setting up Koha 3.0 and have discovered that the Authorities search doesn't work properly for me. An Authorities search does work on the Liblime demo site but I have not been able to find any significant differences between my setup and the demo site setup. I am beginning to wonder if the problem relates to either Bug #3072: http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3072 AND/OR the mailing list message: http://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/2009-November/021107.html Specifically, my problem is: In Koha Admin, under the menu item "More" choose "Authorities". At the resulting screen a search using "Search Authorities" (subtext: "Enter authority heading ($a)) produces no results; however, a search using "Search Main Heading" produces the correct results. Similarly, when importing a record, using the "Tag editor" at the end of the author field to open a screen and search for the authority record gives no results if the heading is in the "Main entry ($a only)" field but does work if the "Main entry" field is used. Could someone tell me if my problem is related to Bug #3072 or if I'm missing something else? Thanks, Anne

Hi folks - Need some help here again. J I've installed koha 3.00.04 on debian lenny with zebra indexing and I can't get the fast index command misc/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -w to work When I try to run it I get "command not found". Off Topic: Open Source Screencasting

Hi all, I know this isn't Koha related, but I figure you are some of the best people to ask, so here it goes. I am looking for libraries that are using Camstudio and/or xvidcap in their libraries - either on patron stations or for staff purposes. If you're using either of these applications and would be willing to answer a few short questions that would be a great help to me - and would get your library a little bit of publicity because I will be publishing the answers I get in my upcoming book. Thanks a bunch! Nicole
