That's the problem. The staff client has only been tested in FF - so try using FF instead and see if that solves it. --- Nicole C. Search for biblio with no results

Hi, I'm trying to create subscriptions after having imported and saved serials records succesfully. What could be wrong when no results are found when I try to search for biblios. I’m cataloging serials by running a Z39.50 search. The import of records is successful; however Koha doesn’t allow to save the records because the subfield a Extent (v.:) in tab 3 (physical description) is not filled. I wonder what’s the best way to solve this? Koha on an Ubuntu server with an Apple server

I need someone knowledgeable about networks to check my thinking on a problem I am having. I installed Koha using a Live CD on a Macintosh Mini running Ubuntu 9.1 server for a small private school library. The school uses an Apple server for their school network, I believe it's running Apple's OS 10.4 server software. When I connected the Mini into the school's ethernet network it obtained a dhcp address 192.168.1.60. I entered this address into the Librarian's browser at her disk and got the KOHA login page. But after entering the user name and password the browser couldn't load subsequent pages. I think it's because koha refers back to "localhost" to call scripts. To test this, I brought the Mini home and installed it on my network where I have OS 10.6 server running on another Mini and in fact saw the same result. I then entered the Ubuntu servers name and ethernet address into the DNS server as a sub-zone of my network and like magic, I can log on and run Koha fine. What I need to know is: Is the cure to my problem a simple matter of adding a sub-zone record in the school's DNS server record; or will doing that cause other problems. Anonymizing circulation history at patron-level?

Am I correct in assuming that it's all or nothing with the tool to anonymize checkout histories? It occurs to me that ideally patrons would be able to choose for themselves whether to have the system remember their reading histories, following full disclosure of the potential implications. (In our state at least, circ records must to be turned over pursuant to subpoena, court order, etc.) At present, I believe our only option is to manually anonymize everyone's records on a schedule of our choosing. wordpress, collectiveaccess or iMis

Thanks for all the wonderful responses to my last question. We are still considering our options and I've got a few more questions. The library is embedded in the American Alpine Club, and concurrent to a new library catalog the AAC is looking at a new website and cms, probably Wordpress. We use iMis as the membership database. The library is also looking at CollectiveAccess for our archives material and club-wide information access. Is anyone working on integrating Koha with any of these three: CollectiveAccess, iMis, Wordpress? Thanks! Two versions are available; the first is a compact version that includes the PO files for translations but doesn't expand them into koha-tmpl, while the second version is the traditional full package that includes every language. Because the full package is ten times larger than the compact one, please download the compact one unless you absolutely require the full version with the translations already expanded. Koha 3 from nozebra to zebra, if at all possible...

While I really do like Koha, I have now run into something I don't seem to be able to solve. The issue is that while I managed to get Koha 3 running without Zebra, it is very sluggish, to a degree that it is barely workable, but I don't seem to be able to get it running WITH zebra. Each and every search results in 'no results found'. That is how it used to be - but we do have another level - a 'sub-budget' -- I do think Budget & then Fund makes sense since that was the language used before - but where does the 'sub-budget' go - does it become a 'sub-fund'?
