Hi all, George and I have been discussing the issue of Koha trademarks. We know that Koha has been registered in the USA by Liblime, and that the EU registration is being signed over to HLT, but what about the rest of world? Koha is a global phenomenon; should we be thinking about Koha in Asia, Africa, Latin America etc. Has it been registered anywhere else? What is stop any ratbag vendor setting up anywhere in the world from registering Koha in the same way that Liblime and Biblibre did? How do we find out, is it important and should we care? There are some things to consider, going forward: - According to LibLime's web site Koha Express customers are on "the official Koha Project release (currently 3.0.2)." The actual up-to-date version is 3.0.5 (and you can check http://koha-community.org/download-koha/ for accurate information on the latest release). Or maybe you're on the latest version and LibLime's web site is out of date? - As Chris pointed out, command line access is pretty much expected as an available tool for maintenance and debugging. I don't know but I assume that you don't have shell access with Koha Express. That will sometimes make it hard for the list to offer suggestions for certain kinds of problems. You'll have to bear with us and understand that we may not be able to offer you a solution because of that. Right now you'll also hear lots of talk about Koha 3.2 which just had an alpha release. It has lots of great improvements and many bug fixes, so may soon have to put up with "upgrade to 3.2!" as a response to some issues :) I hope your host has plans to roll out the 3.2 upgrade quickly following the stable release! Blank line in spine label

Hi, We're a LibLime customer running LLEK, the latest version of which implemented Chris Nighswonger's quick spine label creator. LibLime is unable to provide support on this module, so I'm asking for help here. When I print a label for an item with a copy number, there's a blank line between the last line of the wrapped call number and the copy line. I'm surprised that blank lines aren't suppressed. Chris? Currently there is a generic copyright statement on the temporary site at koha-community.org. I am assuming we don't really want to go the route of having any individual entity copyrighting the content of the site. If any entity would hold the copyright I'd imagine it would be HLT on behalf of the community, but you all have been at this much longer than I have, so I wanted to get your suggestions. Does anyone have suggestions as to which license, and what wording, to put on the site to license its content in a FOSS-friendly manner? Discuss. ;) Liz Rea NEKLS
