Do you want to install Koha on Windows? As far as I know, current versions of Koha will not run natively on Windows. The latest version that will run on Windows is 2.29. Documented here: http://www.koha.rwjr.com/Koha_on_Windows.html You should be able to run current versions as a virtual machine under Windows (if you must...). Use LDAP to authenticate users against AD. Koha workshop report held at DBJ College, Chiplun, Maharashtra, India from 15th-16th October 2010

Dear all, We are happy to inform you about the recent workshop which was held at DBJ College, Chiplun, Dist. Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India, from 15-16th Oct. 2010 on Koha Library Automation Software. The workshop was one of the first workshop held in rural part of Maharashtra where participants could get a chance to directly work on Koha. Around 50 participants attended the workshop. The participants were mainly from School/College and Public Libraries where they are in search for a good library automation software with international standards. We used latest koha-3.02.00 release candidate version which was released on 7th Oct 2010 (Thanks to Galen for recommending this version to use for the workshop) for the workshop and it worked successfully. Prof. Prasad, DRTC, Bangalore has created a LiveCD with Koha-3.02.00 & DSpace-1.6.2 integrated with Ubuntu 10.4.1 LTS version. This LiveCD was distributed to all the participants. This LiveCD will be uploaded to Sourceforge soon. The Librarian, Shri. Sudhir More, DBJ College, Chiplun provided all the required infrastructure and support for the workshop. Shri. Koustubha Kale, Anant Corporation, Thane, INDIA, Dr. Sunita Barve, NCRA, Pune, INDIA & Dr. Nanaji Shewale, GIPE, Pune, INDIA worked as a resource person for the workshop & the following topics were covered during the workshop:- Introduction to Open Source Software Introduction to Linux Operating System (Ubuntu) General Koha Introduction Koha installation with LiveCD Koha Global System Preferences Koha Acquisition, Circulation, Patrons, Cataloging Modules Koha migrating records from either excel/microsoft access or txt files using Marcedit Koha backup/restore/upgrade Koha Barcode printing, Koha generating various reports from Koha reg, Sunita Barve, Ph. hello everybody, i'm new koha library manager,i need some help about that. i spend a month to install it at our server,a litter long, i'm not very good at it . if i say some strange things ,just forget it. could somebody tell me how to convert our data from excel to marc, i don't know how to make it,and how it match with each other, if you have some suggestion,could you give it to me ? think you very much! 2010-10-21

Presently, I am using koha-3.00.06 in my library. I like to go koha 3.02.00 and I have installed koha 3.02.00 for testing purpose i have also defined default fine and circulation rules. The problem is that after paying or over write fine patron block for 130 days or 90 days.The error in the staff client reads: "Patron has had overdue items and is blocked for 120 day(s)." KohaCon Governance Session

Hi, Awhile back there was some discussion regarding making the Governance session at KohaCon available via webinar or some other format so that those not able to attend KohaCon would be able to participate. Will this be happening? I could see using something like GoToWebinar to facilitate this. We at SCLS may be able to assist if this is desirable.
