The Koha logo is an asset registered to PTFS in the United States and other countries according to Horowhenua Library Trust Koha Subcommittee report dated April 29, 2010 [1]. Thus, if they want to change or make a different logo (asset), at least in the US, they have the right. It is their asset. As long as their are two (or more) versions of Koha that are different without different names, it is going to lead to confusion by people that might consider using the software (which was my scenario 1 below). Archlinux package for koha-3.2

Hi, I have just finished installing Koha on Archlinux. For the sake of the future generations, I created a package for ArchLinux at http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41853. I have also added all the dependencies that were missing to the user package database as well (about 20 packages). It is best to use a tool that downloads and install them automatically, like yaourt or clyde (otherwise it is going to be tedious). Harley in Koha 3.2

Gentle Members, Out of curiosity, has any code from the LibLime Harley release made it into Koha? Perhaps 3.2? Or is it being deemed a safer option to leave that til later, for various reasons I might ponder? iphone/android scanner apps?

has anyone thought of having iphone/andoid apps to act as bar-code scanners and handling infrastructure tasks (shelving, checkin, etc) I know I've heard of such apps that take pictures of the bar code, decode it and do various things with it, with the prevalence of such phones and the relative scarcity of dedicated bar-code scanners, it seems like having something like this would be handy. Embedding Google book previews

Is there a way for Koha libries to embed Google book previews into their opac? Here's a link to this being done in another system: <http://catalog.case.edu/record=b3317134~S0> We have book covers turned on and we're using the Google's cover images for that. I think you are confusing the issues ed. Complaining about bad behaviour is not the same as caring enough about a domain the project no longers uses, to allow for a stacked foundation. As for the fork, you have it wrong too, there are most definitely some forks, Koha is not one of them. I don't see why we should have to rename, how about we just keep using koha-community.org and working on Koha. Ill make you a deal, i won't mention koha.org again if that will assuage your worry that I want it back enough to rush in a foundation with special treatment for one company. I believe the libraries in your system are using one of the PTFS/Liblime versions of Koha, right? I'm at a library that is using LEK from PTFS. At a meeting this summer of librarians from institutions using LEK, someone asked about Internet Explorer support. The PTFS/Liblime rep said that they do not support Internet Explorer. He said that because IE8 is more standards-compliant than previous IE versions, there may not be any issues, but the company doesn't specifically design it to work in any version of IE. We were told that if the development group wanted to be sure that LEK would support IE7 or some other specific IE version, then that would have to be funded as another software enhancement . The question was specifically raised whether the non-support of IE applied to the OPAC and the answer was yes. Whether this applies to the version you are using (Harley? Master?) Hi vicki For koha we have tried to make sure the PAC works in any browser, we can't control what users use at home so it needs to be browser agnostic. Of course as an free software proponent I would be sad to see you replace firefox with IE. But the PAC side should work fine. Firefox and Koha PAC

Hi, We are wondering how essential it is to provide Firefox on patron PCs that will be accessing the Koha PAC. It would seem that upgrading Firefox is more difficult than IE, so our tech support staff are asking if we can drop Firefox. We do understand that Firefox is essential for Koha staff functions.
