Hi All, I have found this strange with Koha 3 since our libraries upgraded from Koha 2.2.9. In Koha 2.2.9 when you used the Acquisitions module and acquired an item, in the item record it would put in 952$e the number Koha assigned to that vendor when it is created in the Acquisitions module. - I really liked this feature in v2.2.9 and find it is strange why it was taken out of v3. This information doesn't really help, but I thought I would just voice my opinion. perl dependencies problem

Hi folks - I'm trying to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.2.01. (On debian lenny) I ran the # ./koha_perl_deps.pl -u -m command identify new Perl dependencies and found 21 that needed upgrades or install. I'm having trouble with the YAML module. I ran #cpan YAML and got an error. Here is the error CPAN: Storable loaded ok (v2.18) Going to read /root/.cpan/Metadata Database was generated on Sat, 04 Dec 2010 14:47:05 GMT CPAN: YAML loaded ok (v0.66) Going to read /root/.cpan/build/ ........................................................................ ....DONE Found 7 old builds, restored the state of 7 Running install for module 'YAML' Running make for A/AD/ADAMK/YAML-0.72.tar.gz Has already been unwrapped into directory /root/.cpan/build/YAML-0.72-DUMBV2 '/usr/bin/perl Makefile.PL INSTALLDIRS=site' returned status 2304, won't make Running make test Make had some problems, won't test Running make install Make had some problems, won't install I have no idea where to go from here. Has anyone else had this problem? Can someone with more experience give me some advice? Thanks all. J Chris

Limiting searches to local branch

We had a request from our library teachers to limit OPAC searches to just the local branch/school, without requiring patron log-in. The apache conf that ships with Koha has some example info that would help set up multiple virtual hosts, but I didn't want to deal with going out and changing all of our OPAC station bookmarks (hey, I'm lazy :-) ) Thanks to some help from Jared Camins on irc, we came up with the following. Adding it to the OPAC virtual host section allows us to select the branch limit based on subnet and/or IP address. Works a treat! Hi Bev Thanks for sharing this script, I've been wondering abut how to sort this and it's worked really well here on our install :-) I've found a couple of examples of the word 'Cart' remaining after I've added this to the opac syspref though and I'm not sure how to get to them to convert to our chosen label. Would you be able to help?
