Zebra and index other language

Hi to all I have installed koha 3.2.1 on ubuntu 10 and all ok but i want to know how configure zebra for indexing other language not english, when i search any word in english the result give me words my search but when i search other word not english give the words for my search and other not related, my ask is how i can conf. zebra to search this word in this lang. thnks, and happy new year to all John Smith

after upgrading unable to run apache it gives following error what is this? Customize Search not in English

How do I customize the search for the topics to the maximum degree, when I search with any language not English , many of the search results, not related to the search words, how can I solve this problem .. thank's

AccessPA search target

I discovered the z39.50 search target Access PA, which has been a godsend to import records for Scholastic books. The only problem I'm having is that when I click on "save" for the MARC record, I get an error message if the subfield 040 has nothing in it, specifically 040c. Using the manuals, this subfield seems to refer to an OCLC code number. I have searched multiple sites and cannot seem to find an OCLC code for Access PA. Any help?

Yes, that is the behaviour you get before you uncomment those lines. Are you sure you edited the right file? Because there is a patch that uncomments those lines in master, and it changes the behaviour back to searching the indexes, not searching for the word available. Others have verified this, so I am guessing you edited the wrong copy of the file, or something similar. ALL, Sorry I have been absent from the list and just in general. We had a pipe burst and the water damage closed the library since 11/30/2010. Charactersets and moving from 2.2.9 to 3.2.x

Dear all, I'm at my wit's end here... I'm trying to move some records from a 2.2.9 install to a 3.2.x install. Yep, just the records, so i exported them from 2.2.9 and have them in a file - I'm not trying to convert/upgrade the whole database/installation. Now, I think the main problem is that a number of the records have characters in them that "look strange", like this: aus der wirtschaftlichen AbhÃ±gigkeit von Militär und Rüstung How it got to be like that I don't know... Now when I try to run bulkmarcimport.pl in verbose mode I get lots of this: .....................Bad MARC record 94: utf8 "\xE4" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174, <GEN11> line 95. skipped Bad MARC record 95: utf8 "\xFC" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174, <GEN11> line 96. skipped .Bad MARC record 97: utf8 "\xFC" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174, <GEN11> line 98. skipped .Bad MARC record 99: utf8 "\xFC" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174, <GEN11> line 100. skipped .Bad MARC record 101: utf8 "\xE4" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174, <GEN11> line 102. skipped .........Bad MARC record 111: utf8 "\xE9" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174, <GEN11> line 112. skipped I tried running the file I exported from 2.2.9 through iconv to convert it to UTF-8, but of course that changes the length of some fields, resulting in "clipped" fields. I tried creating a script to parse the records and walk through every field and subfield, convert the subfields to UTF-8 and re-assemble the records, but this seems to only result in errors like the ones above, e.g.: utf8 "\xC3" does not map to Unicode at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Encode.pm line 174.
