Software error: Can't find method "fields"
by Amy Schuler 14 Apr '11

14 Apr '11

Hello, I have come across the following error message when attempting to edit an item in the Koha staff interface. When in doubt about things Koha, I usually reindex, which is what I did but it did not solve the problem: "Can't call method "fields" on an undefined value at /home/koha/kohaclone/C4/Biblio.pm line 2097" I am running Koha v. 3.03.00.051 on Apache 2.2.9 (Debian). Note that I only get this error message when I select an item to edit - I am able to edit records without any problem. I found some references to variations on this error in the Koha listserve archive and Bugzilla, but did not see a solution for this particular "fields" error. Thanks! Amy C. Help with report, please!
by Kathy Rippel 14 Apr '11

I found Nicole's report in the SQL library for "Patrons with fines". I modified it to allow our libraries to choose their "branch". But it doesn't seem to run. Can someone show me where the problem is, please? Tá an bóthar fada. (Sorry, couldn't resist!) Is this perhaps related to the Oirish template being whisked out of the pootle stuff? Cheers, Brooke

I have tried playing with this - so a couple of caveats: a) don't mix different versions of Firefox (it is possible - I mixed 3.x and 4.x) but all sorts of instability set in including IE becoming fixed (as in concrete) as default browser, resolved (on a winXP machine) only by a registry hack. b) back up a working profile before playing with it ;=} c) there is no interface from "within"; all instances of Firefox have to be closed to access the ProfileManager. Advanced Search
by Paula Quint 13 Apr '11

13 Apr '11

Let me introduce myself first. My name is Paula Quint and I work as a project manager at Music Centre the Netherlands. With the help and support of Biblibre we migrated 7 different databases to Koha. Recently we upgraded to 3.3. As we are a music library we needed to extend the advanced search by adding several fields, for instance 048 ## - NUMBER OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OR VOICES CODE. But when I execute my questions I get many more results. Koha gives me not only the statement I entered for 048 but also in the title or anywhere else. Usually entering quotes (like in google) will help, but Koha does not seem to notice them. In the manual I can't find a way to solve this. Can anyone advise me how to manage the advanced search in the way I described? Thanks for your help! Best regards, Paula Quint Paula Quint Projectleider afd.
