Hi there. I'm having a little problem searching items for label by dates. I've saw the code (label-item-seach.pl) and it's done a ccl query where the date insert it's transform in acqdate. That field acqdate is a Zebra index field (I think so). Which MARC or Koha field maps to that field? It's the 099c (date of creation)? Regards. Vitor Fernandes

Hi All, As some of you may know, I offered a $300 scholarship for one Californian to attend the Koha Conference to be held in Madison, Wisconsin on May 2-3, 2011. The person selected is Katie Aust, a Library Technician at the New Haven Unified School District. The District has been on Koha for only one year. Katie was hired in November and it is her job to maintain the Koha system. Koha is used by 12 schools including 2 high schools, 2 middle schools, 7 elementary schools and an adult and student support center. Most of these locations have libraries (aka media support centers) which are supported by 11 School Librarians (aka Media Support Specialists). These 11 Media Support Specialists as well as the 13,014 students in the District rely on Katie and the Koha system. At the conference, Katie hopes to connect with other members of the Koha community, to learn ways to customize Koha to better address the needs of each school, to learn about customizing the OPAC tag clouds, reviews, book lists and recommendations, and to bring back SQL reports they can use to get useful statistics. Katie is also a library student and she reports that Koha users are not common in my classes and she is excited to bring her knowledge of Koha and open-source technologies to her fellow classmates. Installing koha via packages

Hi all! I am not familar of Linux so I want to install latest koha version on UBUNTU 10.10. How can I install through packages as it is much easy way for installation as I have done already of koha 3.0.06 on Ubuntu 10.04(lucid). Is same installation guide will working for latest one. Thanks

How to create a list of all authorities?

Hello I need to create a list of all authorities which I can export to excel. There do not seem to be any examples of these on the SQL Report Library, so if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it - I am trying to clean up our authorities and it is very time consuming doing this just through the Authorities module. Koha: staff client searching by card number

Everyone, Another newbie question: Is there a way in the staff client to search by the exact card number? It seems to be using wild cards before and after. For example, a search for "643" pulls up 1643", "36431" and everything else that contains "643" with 643 in the list. We want it to pull up only the one 643. barcode symbology

Hi All, I have a little issue. I've noticed that the barcode symbologies that Koha supports, don't have lowercase characters defined. The problem is, I have lower case characters in by barcode field in the items table, and we want to generate barcode labels using Koha. Now my question is: is there any good solution as to how I can correct this problem. Also, can koha at all offer a barcode symbology that supports all ASCII characters. Before I end, concerning my lowercase barcode issue, my plan to correct this problem is to grab the barcodes from the items table, convert all characters to uppercase characters then insert them back into the items table. Please tell me if this a safe option, if not please recommend what I can do to better our situation.
