I am new to both ubuntu/linux and Koha, and I installed ubuntu 10.10 and Koha 3.2.5 with Koha Live CD by Mizstik. The Koha system is set to Unimarc during installation and two Unimarc records were imported through Z39.50 servers for testing purpose. After some minor tuning which I don't remember exactly, I can search the catalog in librarian interface with no problem, but OPAC search find no result. One record was added to a list and is accessible with the "lists" button on OPAC front page, but it wasn't searchable, eliminating the possibility that the record is suppressed in OPAC. ==================== CLEANING ==================== I supposed with all these warning the index created by zebraserver may not function properly thus the search doesn't work, but searching in librarian's interface is fine. There could be other reasons. Does anyone know how to fix it? Another thing is, I installed the whole system with Live CD and the default koha user seems to be "root", for I find two zebra server daemon executed by root account. It seems that these two process somehow create or modify files in /var/lock/koha/zebradb/ for every time I turn on the computer and the owner of these files would root again even though they were chown last time, and it cause [Permission denied] while zebra reindexing.
