Hosted Linux solution for Koha?

Hi group, I have a technical question that I hope someone can answer. We have been trying to get Koha up and running for some time while we inventory our records (boxes and boxes!) The problem is that the server was donated as well as the tech support. Koha was running until the server locked up, and then my husband worked his techie magic and updated Ubuntu. We still have to configure Koha again for it to work. The drive is very old and making ticking sounds - so - not an ideal situation. Are there any downsides to using a hosted Linux solution for Koha? The major upside I can see right now is tech support being a phone call away :-D Thanks, Christine

issue with holidays/calendar

Hi there We are on version 3.07. Previously, if I set holidays in the calendar, the due date would then skip to the next open day available (for example, I currently have the 23rd of June to the 10th July as holiday days as our school is closed. I would therefore expect that any 7 day items issued today would have a due date of the 11th July (7 days from now would be the 22nd June) but it is actually giving a due date of 26th June which is the middle of the dates set as holiday days! I have tried resetting the holiday days(I am setting them as unique holidays) back to working days and then back again to holidays, but it is still not 'jumping' over the holiday days to the next open day. Any advice? I am going to have some very stressed out students who will think they owe a lot of money over the holidays as their loans will look very overdue! Regards Lisa
