We're still on version 3.4 & searching for "nature defecit" fails to bring up the title "Last child in the woods : saving our children from nature-deficit disorder" in both the staff & public catalog search. We have the QueryFuzzy preference enabled under Search preferences. Can anyone address whether this is expected behavior, or whether the fuzzy search engine is improved in 3.8? Re-Indexing - Zebra Error

Hello Friends, When I tried to re-index re(using webmin) Executing /etc/init.d/koha-zebraqueue-daemon start .. Starting Zebraqueue Daemon Invalid --user argument: 'koha' (unknown group ) usage: daemon [options] [cmd arg...] options: I am unable to get the new records displayed in the OPAC. In OPAC there are records with no items and when I click on the link, it gives error message 404, An Error has Occurred Error 404 . This error means that the link was broken and that the page doesn't exist. Please help in this regard. Refine Search - OPAC

Dear Colleagues, We have migrated over 30000 marc records from our previous system to Koha 3.0.4. I wonder whether there is any option to refine the search according to item types and chronologically. I know we can do an advanced search and set limits. Our library patrons would want to have options to refine the results in this order. Please advise if there is any other way can do this. REPOST: Need step by step to upgrade Koha from 3.x to latest 3.8

I am running on Debian Squeeze. I have made a complete system backup (just in case things don't go the way it should), and dumped the library database into a SQL file. I posted once before for instructions on how to upgrade Koha on Debian and I received 1 response but the person cautioned that it was untested. I was waiting for that person to confirm the process. After reading that response a few times, I really had a hard time trying to follow the process. So, I am reposting the request for step-by-step please. I plan to work on this server this coming weekend so a response would be helpful. If someone would rather work with me via instant messaging, please send email directly to my email address nice2odie at gmail dot com. I live in USA, in the Central Daylight time. Request; I need to be able to upgrade a PRODUCTION KOHA system to the latest version. There should be a process in place to make this easy. Thank you. New Koha repository for 3.6 series

People who are on the debian packages have just had the option of sitting on the real bleeding edge by running packages from master, or just a bit back from it by running the newest stable series (currently 3.8.) This isn't what everyone wants to do however, some people like to be a bit more conservative. For those people, there is now a section of the Koha Debian repository called "oldstable." It will track the koha releases that are stable and supported, but a series behind the most current one. Documentation for how to access it is here: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.8_on_Debian_Squeeze It will keep up with the current supported release, so when 3.10.0 comes out, it will jump to 3.8.6 (or whatever is out at the time.) Anyone with an installation guide there. I have tried for the past weeks to install koha from small images but I have failed. Now I have 5 Cds of Debian Lenny plus Koha 3.0 Cd.
