New Koha repository for 3.6 series
by Robin Sheat 21 Jun '12

21 Jun '12

People who are on the debian packages have just had the option of sitting on the real bleeding edge by running packages from master, or just a bit back from it by running the newest stable series (currently 3.8.) This isn't what everyone wants to do however, some people like to be a bit more conservative. For those people, there is now a section of the Koha Debian repository called "oldstable." It will track the koha releases that are stable and supported, but a series behind the most current one. Documentation for how to access it is here: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.8_on_Debian_Squeeze It will keep up with the current supported release, so when 3.10.0 comes out, it will jump to 3.8.6 (or whatever is out at the time.) If you have any issues or questions, please post them here, or report them on bugzilla: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/ -- Robin Sheat Catalyst IT Ltd. ✆ +64 4 803 2204 GPG: 5957 6D23 8B16 EFAB FEF8 7175 14D3 6485 A99C EB6D

Fwd: Debian and Koha 3.0 Installation
by Joe 21 Jun '12

21 Jun '12

Forgot to include the List in my reply. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- The old ways of installing Koha are much more complicated and as such are More Prone to Error. The new version of Koha is in the Debian Repositories and will Mostly install itself. Here is a good guide to install Koha 3.0 to run on Debian Lenny. (This Guide is much more complicated.) http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.0_on_Debian_Lenny Here is a good guide to install Koha 3.8 on Debian Squeeze. (This Guide is simpler and most of the hard work is already done.) http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.8_on_Debian_Squeeze Sincerely, -Joe- On Thu, Jun 21, 2012 at 10:43 AM, felix chisoni <felixchisoni(a)gmail.com>wrote: > Anyone with an installation guide there. Pazpar installation
by Joeri 20 Jun '12

20 Jun '12

Hello, I'm trying to find the installation steps to setup Pazpar2 on an OpenSuse 11.3 running Koha 3.8.1, so that I can use Opac searching on remote databases. I've already looked on www.indexdata.com but the installation guide doesn't tell me how to make Pazpar work with Koha. Thanks for pointing me to a detailled documentation. Kind regards, Joeri Michiels Van Dijk Information Consultants -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Pazpar-installation-tp5717078.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

by umer.habib＠techlogix.com 20 Jun '12

20 Jun '12

Hi, I am working on PeopleSoft - KOHA integration. I am trying to find solution fo a problem please help me if anybody has an idea. Students and staff information is entered in Peoplesoft and it is scheduled to generate a csv file weekly containig the information of newly added members, now i want koha to automatically make the accounts of these newly added members using that csv file. suppose i have managed to make that csv file according to the koha csv file pattern, what would be the next step to make these accounts if i donot want to use the manual procedure of uploading the csv file in KOHA. is there some cronjob for this? if no then what should i do? thanks umer habib
