Actually, I find another issue on installing Net::Z3950::ZOOM Perl Module via cpan on this machine: http://paste.koha-community.org/455 This also happened before it's upgraded in to newer version (5.16.0), and did: > force install Net::Z3950::ZOOM But, I'm afraid it will produce another issue like this one(?): http://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/2012-June/033118.html So I ask it first in the list before again doing "force install". I already filled bug on cpan's: https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=77861 Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance and have nice weekend! :) Best regards, -- Andi Sugandi.

Call for News for the June Newsletter (especially re KohaCon12!)
by Daniel Grobani 15 Jun '12

15 Jun '12

Dear Koha Kommunitarians, I'm harvesting news for the June newsletter. Please send me by the 25th anything you think your fellow community members might like to know about. I'm particularly interested in accounts of happenings at KohaCon12. "News" can be as short as a sentence or as long as a paper. I especially encourage you to send me a line or two for the gossip/society column about what you're currently working on. And if you know of a go-live not announced on the list, please be sure to let me know about it. Thanks, Daniel Grobani

issue with holidays/calendar
by Peel Lisa 15 Jun '12

15 Jun '12

Hi there We are on version 3.07. Previously, if I set holidays in the calendar, the due date would then skip to the next open day available (for example, I currently have the 23rd of June to the 10th July as holiday days as our school is closed. I would therefore expect that any 7 day items issued today would have a due date of the 11th July (7 days from now would be the 22nd June) but it is actually giving a due date of 26th June which is the middle of the dates set as holiday days! I have tried resetting the holiday days(I am setting them as unique holidays) back to working days and then back again to holidays, but it is still not 'jumping' over the holiday days to the next open day. Any advice? I am going to have some very stressed out students who will think they owe a lot of money over the holidays as their loans will look very overdue! Regards Lisa

Dear colleagues, The Library of the Center for Analysis and Forescasting of the Spanish Civil Guard goes live on Koha-Kobli as a result of a process automation and standardization of the library collection which had little bibliographic treatment before, therefore adapting it to current standards. The Center for Analysis and Forecasting of the Civil Guard, created in 1998, is the body responsible for studying, collecting, disseminating and collaborating on matters that relate to the protection and safety. This project is included in the action of the General Coordination Committee for the General State Authority Libraries (CGCBAGE) of implementing, in a coordinated way, the library management system Koha-Kobli (http://kobli.bage.es) in certain libraries in its network. This action is implemented by the Subdirectorate General for Libraries Coordination of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, in its role as CGCBAGE secretariat. Good morning. On June 15 we will go into string freeze for 3.6.6, which will be released on June 23. There have not been many changes, so the translation should be pretty painless. how to undo global due date?
by jrhsigler 14 Jun '12

14 Jun '12

Greetings, I need some help with a problem I've encountered in the circulation rules. About six months ago I set a global due date for May 17, the end of the semester. Since then, we've updated Koha a couple times, and I can no longer find the page where I set the global due date. (From my reading, it appears that this feature has been replaced with circ rules?) The system is still maintaining the May 17 due date. I'm not sure how to reset this. In the meantime, every time I check out a book, I have to confirm the action and manually create due dates. All books checked out now are immediately overdue I've made sure that there are no hard due dates set in the circulation rules, but this hasn't made any difference. Thanks for your time and help! -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/how-to-undo-global-due-date-tp5714544.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

String freeze for 3.8.2
by Chris Cormack 14 Jun '12

14 Jun '12

We are almost one week out from the release of 3.8.2, which means that on the 15th we go into string freeze before the release. There shouldn't be a huge amount of changes from 3.8.1, but we will soon find out once the translation manager has updated the .po files. Happy translating Chris

problems with browsing
by Haik Zargaryan 14 Jun '12

14 Jun '12

Dear friends, We have upgraded to koha 3.8 and are currently testing it. Till now everything has worked fine with one exception. When we import a MARC record in Armenian language and search for it, the record is normally retrieved. But when we try to browse by author/subject/etc by clicking on the author/subject name-link, some strange things happen. Obviously, koha dos not recognize the fonts. Koha uses strange symbols to search/browse the author name. In the koha 3.6 we have not encountered such a problem. Any ideas? Regards, Haik.
