Koha 3.8 installation problem

Hello, We're currently evaluating the Koha 3.8 software on an OpenSuse 12.1 64bit. We've been trying to install Koha according to the instructions as described in http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/? p=koha.git;a=blob;f=INSTALL.opensuse;hb=HEAD but after running 'make install' the Apache web server can no longer be started. There's not a lot of info in the Apache error log, just the following message "caught SIGTERM, shutting down". We've browsed to a number of articles on the internet but they don't provide the solution. Hopefully I can get the answer on this forum. Unable to update form

Hi everyone, I am very new to Koha - and this seems like a question which is often asked, but I have not yet found a comprehensible response! I tried editing my own MARC framework. This worked well, until I accidentally deleted a tag that I wanted to keep. So, I added it as a new tag, and copy-pasted the information from the existing tag in the default framework. This added fine and looks no different from the information in the default framework. However, when I now try to input information into that tag as I'm adding a new record, I am unable to enter anything in the box. The cursor is there, but nothing is entered in the field. I have a feeling that this something to do with authorities - but I wouldn't know where to start! Is someone able to point me in the right direction? Thanks, Stew

OPAC User Can Not Login to Koha

Hi all, As $Subject said, OPAC user fails to login to Koha (v. 3.8.1) through form login on Catalog main page or on OPAC login page[0]: This is the koha-opac-error_log (/home/subdomain_name/public_html/cgi-bin/var/log/koha-opac-error_log)[1], and using MySQL Server version 5.1.63. Upgrading Koha 3.4 to Koha 3.8 ??

What is the best and easiest way to upgrade Koha 3.4 to Koha 3.8 running on Debian Squeeze? The key here is NOT to lose the data in the database tables. I am hoping that there are MySQL scripts to move data around if there are table differences between the 3.4 and 3.8.
