Koha saml support
by Michiels Joeri 04 Dec '12

04 Dec '12

Hello, With the release of Koha 3.10 I figured that saml authentication support would have been included. Several websites (http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2010-August/024960.html) mention that the new release will include this feature. However I'm unable to find any information about it. Thanks for helping out. Regards, Joeri Michiels

Home screen in staff interface - inactive links
by Elaine Bradtke 03 Dec '12

03 Dec '12

Just testing out 3.10 I noticed (at least in our installation) the home screen in the staff interface has changed from a tabbed layout to three boxes (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0ag4Jlx4aGmUTZlY0tydDN3Qkk) The links below the boxes - Check out Check in, Search patrons, Search catalog - don't actually go anywhere. The doesn't seem right to me. Import patrons tool
by Cab Vinton 03 Dec '12

03 Dec '12

Am I correct in assuming that this tool can only be used for batch updating of patron info if all of the existing info for each patron is included in the CSV file to be uploaded? In other words, I can't simply provide the bare minimum info & then whatever new info is desired because all of the blank field values will overwrite the values in the corresponding fields in Koha. Thank you, Cab Vinton, Director Sanbornton Public Library Sanbornton, NH Life is short. Read fast!

A question/suggestion on OPAC introductory page enhancement
by Manos PETRIDIS 02 Dec '12

02 Dec '12

I wonder if a list of recent additions could be added to the library initial OPAC page. It would have to be based on the library selected I suppose, and could be divided perhaps in sub-lists, based on item type, collection, target audience, etc. Is there already such a provision in koha that I am unaware of? I did a look-up on the bug-list and found a related recent entry: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7917 that could make such an enhancement more manageable. Kind Regards, Manos Petridis
