Debian 6.0.6 and Koha
by Matthieu Carter 07 Dec '12

07 Dec '12

Hello, I have attempted to follow the link: http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/?p=koha.git;a=blob_plain;f=INSTALL.deb… I had all sorts of issues -- I had to reinstall Debian because somehow multiple "koha" folders were installed in the same directory! I did not know this was even possible -- but it is. I am not familar with Debian so please bare with me. Okay, so I got step one done (1.1 Install debian via Business Card CD). ------------- Is there anywhere else that has a more detailed explantion of how to set Koha up and run successfully? -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Debian-6-0-6-and-Koha-tp5735821.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Re: [Koha] Search operators

Dear Jared, good job. In my opinion, at least data that are or can be autoincrement (bib and auth system numbers, barcodes) require greater than and less than operators. Bye. Search operators
by Jared Camins-Esakov 06 Dec '12

06 Dec '12

Hello. As many of you know, I have been working on rewriting Koha's search code so that it is more palatable than a plate of burned nine-day-old spaghetti. The initial part of the development is nearing completion, and I look forward to submitting a patch to the community for sign off[1]. In the course of the first section of the development, I have run into an interesting question. We currently support greater than and less than operators in our searches, but I cannot think of anywhere we might want to use them other than with dates. Does anyone have any scenarios where a greater than/less than operator would actually be useful in a bibliographic or authority search (other than in date searches)? Regards, Jared [1] If you're interested in seeing my work so far, the search rewrite branch in my public repo has all the code: http://git.cpbibliography.com/?p=koha.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/search_re… The RFC is at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/C_%26_P_Search_Rewrite_RFCand I would still welcome any and all comments. -- Jared Camins-Esakov Bibliographer, C & P Bibliography Services, LLC (phone) +1 (917) 727-3445 (e-mail) jcamins(a)cpbibliography.com (web) http://www.cpbibliography.com/

Strange behavior when sending overdue notices.
by Nikhil VR 06 Dec '12

06 Dec '12

Dear koha-developers, I recently updated my koha installaton from 3.08.06 to 3.10.00 in ubuntu 12.04 server(DEBIAN PACKAGES). But when i run overdue_notices.pl I found astrange behavior. It sends same mail to different patrons who have over dues. That means e-mail address and content are mismatched. Is there is any solution to fix this problem.
