Hi, Why don't you document the process as a HOWTO on the Koha wiki? I'm sure a lot of people could benefit from it. -indra Sent from Samsung Mobile -------- Original message -------- From: "Ramprasad S. Setting up a quarterly dated serial prediction
by Jeremy Evans 11 Sep '14

11 Sep '14

I am trying to set up a new serial prediction but the test predictions keep showing up issue numbers when I need the month to display and it also skips to the wrong month. It is a quarterly journal, published March, June, September and December - each issue is dated by month and year. No issue numbers. e.g. the issue received today says September 2014 on the front cover. I would probably want the issue numbers to say MAR/JUN/SEP/DEC I tried to set up a prediction but it always starts with January each time, not March and omits the year after the first issue. Any ideas how to set this up? We are using Koha 3.16 Many thanks, Jeremy Evans Information Services Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency National Institute for Biological Standards and control Blanche Lane, South Mimms Potters Bar, Herts, UK EN6 3QG 01707 641323

Hardware requirements
by Witoszynskyj Stephan 11 Sep '14

Hello, we are a (very) small library. We are using Koha since a couple of months. So far our installation is „offline“ (on an old Mac Mini that is not accessible from the internet). Now we want to go online. Due to our limited budget the only option will be renting a virtual server. However, I have no idea which specifications will be sufficient in our case. I know that more is always better, but our financial resources are really limited. The offerings that I currently have, have following specifications: * Single Core, 512 MB RAM, 20 GB hard disk * Single Core, 1024 MB RAM, 40 GB hard disk We have less than 5000 books and less than 250 customers. I’m sorry that I’m asking a question that has been asked a hundred times… Regards, Stephan

Intranet staff client catalog search
by Abdulsalam Yousef 11 Sep '14

11 Sep '14

Hello everybody, We have tested search the catalog in (Search the catalog) tab located at the header of staff client more and more times, but the result always gets No results found No results match your search for 'science #'. Although searching the opac gets results correctly, and advanced search in intranet staff client also gets results correctly here: http://library.domain/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=science (opac gets results) and here: http://library.domain:8080/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?q=science (intranet doesn't get any result) We are using Koha 3.16.01, I've tried to use some of Koha 3.16.03 files replacing Koha 3.16.01 files with it like (search.pm, koha.pm, search.pl, results and .inc files, ...etc.) to see if there is a wrong code but no way. also we have instances of koha 3.2 and koha 3.14.x and this type of search is working good. thanks

Hi everyone, Please, I need help on data migration. I imported patrons data to koha but when I searched for a book the result I received was more than the copies of the books I imported. for instance, I have 7 Things fall apart from different publishers but when I searched for Things fall apart,I received 21 results with a message "Item not available". This how I converted the data; original file is in cvs format, which I converted to a text file. I uploaded it on marc edit and converted it to .mrk after i have done the field mapping to marc 21 format ,then I converted to .mrc. I really would like your help again. Apparently I missed something??. Thanks again. Cheers
