Adding Barcode in Multiple copies of a Title In the Acquisition Module, at the time ordering receiving, Koha is not allowing to assign Barcode in case of adding Multiple copies of a Title. Koha should incorporate the facility to make full utilization of Koha Acquisition Module. If anybody has the solution, kindly provide us. Hi, you can hide and add entries with jQuery in OpacUserJs and IntranetUserJs. Problems with circulation history
by vanda koha 03 Jan '18

03 Jan '18

Hi everybody! We are using koha version 16.11.04. I´ve recently detected a problem with circulation history. The program cheks out and cheks in all items quite well, but it frequently does not keep track of all the loans. After checking in a book when I run the report to see what was checked in the book does not appear in the results and when I check the patron circulation history it shows no loans (It shows: "This patron has no circulation history"). When we look in to the checkout history of the item it says the book has never been checked out before. It is as if the item had never been checked out. To make it even more strange let me tell you that this happens in a regular basis, but not everytime. I was not able to understand why this only happens every now and then. What do you think might be the problem? How can we solve it? Has it ever happened to anyone of you? Any help would be very welcomed. Thanks Vanda

Problems adding new members in 17.11
by Tim McMahon 03 Jan '18

03 Jan '18

I'm testing 17.11 (package upgrade from 17.05.02) and when I try to enter a new patron, the Password and Confirm password fields in the OPAC/Staff login section near the bottom of the form will get labeled "This field is required." We only fill those fields in when a patron requests their own login, then tell them to change it on their first login. I also noticed that the primary and secondary email fields aren't validating either.

Multiple but different URLs for the same item
by Kelly Drake 01 Jan '18

01 Jan '18

Hi all, We are a consortia of 7 academic libraries just setting up on Koha and have a question on how folks are handling items that have multiple, but different URLS for the same item. For example. All the libraries subscribe to one journal, The Chronicle of Higher Education, but since this is a paid subscription with authenticating links, the users of each library need to select a different link in order to be able to authenticate. >From previous experience we know that these different links need to be extremely obvious! Currently it looks as if Koha offers two options. 1. 856 links that can be highlighted, or called out in various ways through modification of the template. 2. Adding Item Types for each link - although in this case the URL itself is displayed (rather than any display text) Does any one have examples of how they are handling this? and making the links, and who should click where, really obvious? All input is greatly appreciated! Kelly Drake Kelly Drake HELM Project Manager kelly(a)flo.org | 617.442.2384

Koha 17.11 - koha-mysql command - Error: Unknown Variable
by Craig Butosi 31 Dec '17

Hi all, Koha 17.11 on Ubuntu 16.04 This is probably more of a MariaDB question, but I thought I'd ask anyway since it's Koha-related too. I tried to run the $ koha-mysql [instance name] Debian command and the following error was thrown: "mysql: unknown variable 'init-file=/var/lib/mysql/init-file_library2.sql' I locating the file and I found it in the directory as shown. But I do not know how to get past this error. I'm having trouble diagnosing. The init file pathway is defined under the [mysql] section of /etc/mysql/conf.d/mycnf.sql Any SQL/MARIADB gurus out there who can assist? Many thanks, Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons) Library: library.craigbutosi.ca
