Including Bengali (Bangladesh) In Koha Translation Site
by Mubassir Ahsan 08 Jan '18

08 Jan '18

In koha translate page, the language 'Bengali' is listed, but the files are named as "*bn-IN*-pref.po" [http://translate.koha-community.org/bn/17.11/] Our kind request to koha translation maintainer to please rename this to bn-BD as BD refers to Bangladesh where IN referring to India. In addition, we have a history regarding our Bengali Language where 21 February is been celebrated worldwide as a "International Mother Language Day" [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Mother_Language_Day] -- *Best wishes.* *--------------------* *Md. Union Catalog using Koha
by Mubassir Ahsan 08 Jan '18

08 Jan '18

Thanks for the answer, vufind probably is the solution. But koha already uses Inter-library loan (ILL) module. If it could be further extended to use it as a union catalog compatible. My suggestions is in below: 1. Koha will provide a remote authentication token 2. Another koha will use that authentication to synchronize the database 3. Sharing could be permission based. i.e, catalog, user, accounting etc. Is that possible? So that it will be an standalone solution and an easy to use between participating libraries. Dear developers, I am doing my research on union catalog. Most of my sample libraries have Koha installed. Is koha capable of using as a union catalog software among different codebase libraries? If there any additional tools that can do this ? Please help me here. -- *Best wishes.* *--------------------* *Md. When i try to add one new record using this framework, i get this : Software error: No biblionumber tag for framework "MTS" at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 3135. What should i do? Thx. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Software-error-Biblionumber-tp5747673.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Checking out with no barcode opens a print dialog
by Chris Brown 07 Jan '18

07 Jan '18

Gentle Reader, We have noticed a strange behaviour in Koha 17.05 and 17.11 when checking books out. If you select a patron, then click "Check out" without entering an item barcode, a new window opens with a printer dialog to print a list of the books checked out. Is this considered a feature or a bug? It certainly took us by surprise! Best Regards, Chris Brown
