Email not being sent from koha

Hi everyone, I have configured postfix, mailutils and gmail with my Ubuntu 16.04 to send Email Notifications from koha 16.11. I can send emails from command line using the following command: echo "This is a test." | mail -s "test message" javedshoukat900(a)gmail.com emails are received on this address: javedshoukat900(a)gmail.com but when I issue the command: ./process_message_queue.pl following message appears: connect to gmail.com failed (Connection timed out) connect to gmail.com failed connect to gmail.com failed (Connection timed out) no (more) retries! at ./process_message_queue.pl line 66. any idea? plz. -- Regards,0 Javed Shoukat Management Trainee Officer (MTO) Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore. Koha 17.11 Modification log problem

Hello all, Showing patron Modification log from koha 17.11 doesn't show any system log for the patron, Instead it redirects to ( http://domain_name/cgi-bin/koha/circ/circulation.pl?borrowernumber= Thanks in advance.

error with z39.50

Hello, sorry for asking another question We ran into another error this time with z39.50. We added several servers but when trying to use this service we get the following error. Unsupported UNIMARC character encoding [] for XML output for UNIMARC; 100$a -> at /usr/share/perl5/MARC/File/XML.pm line 568. For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([no address given]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, We had a "Ship it" day during this Biblibre winter camp, and I chose to work on KOCT. So here's what's new in v0.4.5: - Add a "configuration test" button which will check if koha host, username and password are ok - Retrieve branchnames and branchcodes as a dropdown list (when https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16497 is available, adresses https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=19689 ) - Cleaner error handling (when https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=19752 is available) - Add data export in Koc format (see https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_offline_circulation_file_format ) - Add a button to jump to the configuration page. This new version should be available at Mozilla's in a couple of days. Enjoy :)

Hello dear Katrin, Sorry my dear, I don't think that it's a problem in my database, It may be a bug in (koha 17.11), Just try again by filling the (Librarian:) field with the borrower number instead of the ( Object:) field, And leave the (Object:) field empty, You will see what I mean. Also you can test it here ( http://koha.adminkuhn.ch:8080/cgi-bin/koha/tools/viewlog.pl?do_it=1&modules… ) It's a demo site for koha 17.11 in koha community here ( https://koha-community.org/demo/) use (demo/demo) for logging in, Then test it for this user (Herr Demokrit Morgenstern (1)), Also the problem was not in koha 17.05, You can test it using Bywater demo version (koha17.05), You will see that it working fine in koha (17.05). Dear All I noticed due to recent upgrade of Firefox (57.0) Add-on “JSPrintSetup” as sated at Koha wiki <https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Setting_up_slip_printer_to_print_silen…> is not working because of some compatibility related issues. Koha 17.11.00 package / repository rollover

Good news everyone, the Debian package for Koha 17.11.00 is now available from the community repository. With the new major release, the repository structure will change slightly. Koha 17.11 is now 'stable'. Koha 17.05 is now 'oldstable' Koha 16.11 is still maintained, but no futher Debian packages are provided. The last packaged version 16.11.14 is available from the 16.11 pocket of the repository. Koha 16.05 has had its last release two weeks ago and is no longer maintained. The final version 16.05.19 is now available from the 16.05 pocket of the repository.
