Error while accessing patron homepage

Dear all, I am getting this error message while accessing one patron. Can't call method "biblio" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Members.pm line 768. But this error is not coming for all users and this error came only after upgrading koha from version 3.20 to 17. Broken packages, Unmet dependencies

Hi All, I removed libsasl2-2, sudo apt-get remove libsasl2-2 It started removing other packages too, i was shaked, hurriedly i pressed ctrl + x, ctrl + c, then i saw error messag something like this: The process was intrupted. Now i have lost the following: Gnome ubuntu destop access to Koha opac and Koha staff client And packages Like libreoffice, gnome, gdm3, apache2, and many more If i try to install them error shows; You have held broken packages, sometimes says already installed could not be installed, it has unmet dependencies. when try to remove any package it says,; not intalled. i am stucked how to get rid of unmet dependeCies and broken packages, I have tried, sudo su clean autoclean autoremove apt-get clean apt-get autoclean apt-get autoremove apt-get update apt-get upgrade nothing worked. Help plz Javed.

Error reindexing biblios with zebra

Hello, can you help me to solve this problem? : when I start indexing the catalog with the instruction : perl -I /usr/share/koha/lib /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl -v -b -r -run-as-root it sends me back to the end the following error : Entity: line 2355661: parser error : XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> zebraidx(8685) [warn] extract error: generic and half of the catalog is not indexed. Shibboleth authenticationa and autocreation

Hello! I'm trying to set up shibboleth authentication (and provisioning) in Koha 17.11.00 and experience some issues. Firstly the matchpoint: Matching on userid works but is it possible to match on other fields? We may want to use eg the "sort1" field if it's possible. The lookup code reads: Koha::Database->new()->schema()->resultset('Borrower') ->find( { $config->{matchpoint} => $match } ); Not sure if it's only possible to match against userid and other formally unique fields? Secondly I tried to auto-create a patron if there's no match but I can't get it to work. Any tips? Looking at the code it looks there should be an <autocreate> tag to enable it, also it seems fixed values should go under a "content"-attribute. No solution yet. I have a suspicion that the problem I'm seeing is because our library has the PatronSelfRegistrationVerifyByEmail set to "Require" rather than "Don't require." I set up sandbox 6 from BibLibre to test this theory out with master, and if I set the preference to "Don't require," it will allow me to set my own password during self-registration without issue after I configure it to require a password during self-registration. The account is created successfully and with the password I indicated. I then wanted to test it out with "Require," but I'm experiencing an issue with the sandbox not sending out any e-mails. I've added an e-mail address to the KohaAdminEmailAddress per the instructions in the wiki, but no luck -- e-mails are not being sent at all, so I'm not able to test whether it will allow me to keep the password I entered in the form once I verify my e-mail. Other than entering a valid e-mail in KohaAdminEmailAddress, is there anything else I would need to do in the sandbox to have Koha send e-mails? I'd like to make sure this is a bug before entering it to Bugzilla. Circulation statistics wizard shows "UNKNOWN VALUE" for item type

Hello, I am using Koha 17.05.02, installed from Debian Packages. Using the circulation statistics wizard, I want to generate a report of checkouts broken down by item type. However, configuring a report with "item type" as the row results in all item types displaying as "UNKNOWN VALUE". A little googling led me to bug 16760 which describes exactly that problem, but a comment in bugzilla says that the patch for this was pushed to Koha 16.05. So ... has this bug re-surfaced, or is it possible I'm doing something wrong? Can anyone confirm this behaviour? Thanks in advance for any advice, Chris Brown

Allowing patrons to set their passwords during self-registration

Hello, everyone! I was hoping I could get some help or input from the list about an issue our library is experiencing. We use Koha 17.05. We allow patrons to self-register an account, and their passwords are generated by Koha and shown to them after they click on the e-mail verification link as part of the registration process. With bug 15343 having been incorporated as of version 16.05 (https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15343) we wanted to switch over to having patrons select their own passwords during self-registration. I have followed the instructions outlined as part of the bug's test plan, but I cannot get this to work – Koha keeps ignoring the user-supplied password and generates a random password. What I do is I remove "password" from the PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerUnwantedField preference and add "password" to the PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField preference since we want to make this a required field. I'll then go to the self-registration form, fill out all of the required fields, including the password fields that are now marked as required, and wait for the self-registration verification e-mail. When I click on the link in the e-mail, I'm shown my new username and a new, random password – not the one I had entered in the form! I've tried turning off the PatronSelfRegistrationPrefillForm preference in case that was an issue, but in those cases, I can only assume a random password was generated because I still can't login with the password I supplied in the form.
