gonenoaddress, lost, etc.

I'm looking at the borrowers table trying to figure out how some of the 'status' columns are used. These seem to include gonenoaddress (no current valid address on file) debarred (barred from checking anything out) lost (card has been lost) ...But how are these set? And is there no way to override the block if you want to check something out. Our current system presents the information and asks if you want to override. That seems to be the best approach since it allows you to complete the patron transaction without doing, well, whatever it is you have to do to remove the status. -- Owen ---- Nelsonville Public Library Koha 1.9.3

Hi Guys, I'm back from Soissons, Tropheesdulibre. I'm sure you're interested to know who wins. So, here is the answer... In Game category, it's VegaStrike. In General Public category, it's Weasel Reader In Accessibility, it's Gok, In Educational, it's Gcompris In TodoManagement, it's Dolibarr, In Application Agencies. Hmm... let me remember... I think I forget... One minut, there was 3 candidates : Localis, from Mose, mm... no, that was not him. A nice guy anyway. CPS... ah, yes, i remember this guy. But I don't remember seeing it winning anything. Koha. Was Koha the winner ? Let me think a little second. hmmmm.... Ah, that's it, I remember : yes, Koha wins. :-D :-D Note : I just arrived at home. Perls Instalation error on Win XP

Hi all: I succesfully install the apache and MySQL but when start the Perl installation (5.6.1 Build 635) it gave me the next error almost at the end of the installation process. "There is a problem with this windows Installer package. Ascript required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personal or package vendor." I redownloaded the installation package and got the error again. Anyone has any idea what's wrong???? Was posted 2 days ago at win list but no answer. Thanks.

Hi My name is Julio Mantecon and I'm a library student searching for a ILS to use in med public librarys. I'm not familiar with Linux, so, I want to try it at a desktop puter with Win 2k or XP. Is there a list of dependancies for Koha on the above 2 platforms? Im getting similar issues on both platforms. I am working through an install and yet to succeed ie Perl modules, etc. Anyone know if the dependancies have rpms and debs rather than having to untar and make, install? I found (I think or it maybe me screwing up the install!) a problem with 1.2.3. My koha.conf looks like this (so far), database=Koha hostname=localhost #user=kohaadmin user=koha pass=******** includes=/var/www/koha/htdocs/includes opachtdocs=/var/www/koha/htdocs intrahtdocs=/var/www/koha/htdocs I have had to add the last 2 lines as the path seems otherwise to be absolute from / and not relative to /var/www/koha in Output.pm (have I missed something?) I might be screwing up by missing a setting somewhere else but adding those lines fixes it based on the file, /var/www/koha/modules/C4/Output.pm calling one of them at lines, /var/www/koha/modules/C4/Output.pm: $htdocs = $configfile->{'opachtdocs'}; /var/www/koha/modules/C4/Output.pm: ($htdocs) || ($htdocs=$configfile->{opacdir}."/htdocs"); /var/www/koha/modules/C4/Output.pm: $htdocs = $configfile->{'intrahtdocs'}; /var/www/koha/modules/C4/Output.pm: ($htdocs) || ($htdocs=$configfile->{intranetdir}."/htdocs"); regards Steven
