Net::Z3950::ZOOM install error no.such.host fails on OpenSUSE 11
by andymalo 04 Nov '08

I'm trying to follow the OpenSUSE install guide for Koha at http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=opensuse_11.0 and I'm running into a problem with installing Net::Z3950::ZOOM. I've read the post on this error at http://www.nabble.com/Can%27t-install-Net::Z3950::ZOOM-on-openSUSE-11.0-td1… and I know I have installed yaz with yast -i yaz But ZOOM still won't install. It seems that cpan has version 1.25 of ZOOM, whereas in this guide they are using 1.24. Could this be my problem? or am I missed some dependency? Dear Koha Users I am a superlibrarian for our koha library system. In the system, some patrons are duplicated and I have been trying to delete the duplicates. However, they never get trashed off. Acquisitions
by Leslie Gonzalez 03 Nov '08

03 Nov '08

Does anyone out there use the acquisitions function of KOHA? I've been calling libraries in the U.S. that use KOHA and so far they all tell me that they don't use the acquisitions. Several have told me, "they've heard it leaves a lot to be desired," but can't give me a specific reason why. Any feedback? by harry wykman 02 Nov '08

Hello, I have installed koha, successfully as far as I can tell, but I cant get the installer up. I have run sudo a2enmod rewrite sudo a2ensite koha sudo apache2ctl restart and created the symlinks (which do point to the right place) but I still get the default apache page. Any ideas? Thanks, Harry

Respected All ( Koha Developers, Users and Liblime Team Members ) Please consider this request as a behalf of all koha users. In Over Due report we need Item barcode number. By default this item barcode number is not appearing along with Title and Author, To display the dues list on notice board or for circulating the over dues list this field is required. But in OPAC user login, this field item barcode is appearing along with due date, title and author. Please give the solution for this problem. Thanks and Regards Venkata Narayana T. Re: [Koha] Koha acquisitions - bad mouthing
by Lenora Oftedahl 31 Oct '08

And honestly if people are saying that they don't use and are reporting hearsay, they are badmouthing the product. So if the module does not work for you, fine, say why. If you haven't tried the module, just say you don't use it and leave the rest out. Lenora -- *************************************** Lenora A. Can we be respectful > of everyone's opinions and those who are coming to > the list seeking information? > HI Susanne In Rosalie's defense, I don't think she was saying people can't have any opinion, I think she was pushing for an informed opinion :) Im sure she was responding too "that use KOHA and so far they all tell me that they don't use the acquisitions. Several have told me, "they've heard it leaves a lot to be desired," but can't give me a specific reason why." IE she was making the point that she does use and is happy with it. I inferred no disrespect of anyones opinion, and knowing Rosalie I know she meant no disrespect either.
