Hello all. I haven't seen an announcement, but there was talk at the Koha Conference that a SQL repository would be developed so we could post our most excellent SQL reports and wouldn't all have to write the same report request over and over. Searching

Hello, I have another question. When I search in my koha opac let's say "algo" there's no result but when I typed in "algorithms" there's some result. So that means I need to typed in the whole words I need to search in order to have results. Is it because I'm using nozebra? How do you turn on and configure zebra anyway? I'm using koha 3. Thanks

Default Matching Rules

Hello, I'm trying to import Marc records into koha using KOHA's GUI tools. I've completed an import but the data doesn't show in catalogue. There's still 0 records. Then I've found that I'm having a problem with the matching rules. I found out that there's no default matching rules in may installation of koha. Did I do something wrong with the installation that I can't see the default matching rules? Can anyone provide the info for the default matching rules? Thanks

Dear all We are currently implementing KOHA and MARC 21 at BRAC University Library in Bangladesh. Normally other ILS automatically generate a control number (001) for each item. But we are not sure whether KOHA does it or not and if it does then how? Hi Andrew, Take a look at the koha.org home page. The Development Wiki link on that page will take you to a number of guides that cover installation. The Documentation link will take you to another page with some installation guides as well as a link to the Koha 3.0 Manual Site. There is a tutorial at http://www.blazingmoon.org/news/2008/12/installing-koha-3-on-ubuntu-810-a-t… that I have seen others reference on this list. You say your are green at this, so I would suggest you start by learning some basic linux skills. Much of the advice in the guides and tutorials will make much more sense then.
