Error with net::z39.50::zoom

IndependentBranches & SingleBranchMode

Hi What is the difference between 'Independent Branches' & 'SingleBranchMode' in the System Preference Admin - Admin Preferences? I am looking for something that restrict a patron borrow books from other libraries in a same instance/setting. Thank you for the help. Regards Henry

Patron permissions questions

Hello all I work with a few libraries testing Koha, and a question has come up about setting permissions for "patrons". As I understood this, permissions are for staff accounts only, to control their use of the staff client modules, based on their login. I see in the list of permissions that there is one flag (permissions) to set user permissions, and another (staffaccess) to modify permissions for staff users, and this confuses me as they seem to be the same. It has been noticed that the permissions screen exists for all patron types, and I have had some confused questions about whether staff have to check the "Borrow books" permission before anything can be checked out to a new patron, and why we need a "staff" type at all if any patron can be set to use the staff client. I can see their point, so I am wondering: Can someone explain the difference between those two permission flags? Has anyone used permissions for patrons who are not on staff, and if so what for? Could this screen be set not to appear except for specific patron types, e.g. "Staff" (even for superlibrarians)? Koha Interface

Hello, I know I'm flooding the mailing list but I have another question. I want to really modify the interface of koha OPAC but I don't know where to start. I just don't want to change the logo and headers. I really want to customized my whole OPAC website (change the codes etc). I tried to change the css and tmpl files but I can't see the results. The manual provides little info. I can't understand what the wiki on koha template style guide. Can anyone help? I really don't know where to start. How do you change the interface of koha? What files do I have to change? thanks in advance

Stats for ILL between locations

Anybody have an SQL or some type of report that shows how many books were borrowed between locations in a given time period? I will be adding a few SQL's that I've come up with to the Wiki hopefully today! You all ROCK! David Schuster

Segmentation fault

Images In OpacNav and OpacMainUserBlock

Hello, I'm having a problem inserting some images on OpacNav and OpacMainUserBlock. I tried to insert an image in a simple hmtl tag img. I both tried its relative path as well as its absolute path but they don't show up. I even used the images in the images folder. The text in the alt tag seems to work. Is it really possible to insert images in these sections? Is there another way to insert images in these sections? Thanks!
