Koha 3 on ubuntu not index records

Suggestion for Editing New Koha Site

I'm not putting this in the existing thread because it might be lost, but I have a suggestion. How about we follow our Koha model for the Koha website and put the templates and CSS into GIT. That way everyone can make edits and help fix the templates? Then we just need a Website Manager who approved patches - but at least we all have access to everything and can work together - which is our strong suit :) --- Nicole C. Phrase searching

As far as I can tell, Koha (3.0) does not do phrase searching, either in staff or public mode. This seems like a strange oversight. Can someone confirm, let me know if I've overlooked a setting, provide further information? Thank you, Cab Vinton, Director Sanbornton Public Library Sanbornton, NH

Koha has long been a consumer of Amazon API data and jacket images. The API has changed previously and Koha has had to keep up. It looks like Amazon has another set of changes in the works, set to take effect in a few months, so we will have to adapt again. Separately, it is speculated that it might become more difficult to get API keys under the upcoming model, but this has not been confirmed. Koha developers will be following the API migration closely. It looks from an email I got from Amazon that as of August 15th, you'll need to cryptographically sign requests to this API, to have them responded to. It looks like kind of a pain. I think a bunch of people on this list may be using this API. Beware. hello all, into opensolaris, after upgrading from 2 to 3 (and 3.0.0 to 3.0.1), i have many files whose name finished by: _koha_3_00_00_107 Does it mean that something was wrong during the upgrade? root@catalogue3:/usr/local/koha# find . -name "*_koha_3_00_00_107"|wc -l 5992 root@catalogue3:/usr/local/koha# find . |wc -l 49433 thanks in advance for help, gerard

Hi to all, I see the new web site and I have same suggestion about it: 1) The general layout with an head and two/three columns (Navigation, Content, News/Login) I think that layout is OK for home page and pages with advices / news like http://koha.org/, http://koha.org/events, http://koha.org/events/developer-weekend. In fact all those page not have many lines in Content columns. But for documentation pages, like http://koha.org/documentation/faq http://koha.org/documentation/manual http://koha.org/documentation/manual/3.0 http://koha.org/documentation/manual/3.0/administration/global-system-prefe… have too lines and information to fit go in the Content column. I think the better solutin for "documentation" and /or pages wtih much content is to have only one column. And to insert the 'Navigation' column, present into documentation section, in the head. 2)IRC. The information about IRC has not the info about the web log of the chat. Do you want to close this service ? For person like that I don't use IRC the web log is quite useful. I have asked of a login but I don't know Plone. So I don't know if I can implement with my login the changes that I suggest. But if the comunity agree on them, I'm agree to do them by myself. About translation in italian. The Koha comunity in Italy is quite little. As Cilea we have register a site and sponsor a wiki at address http://www.koha.it. It is a wiki on WikiDot service. Zebra indexing aborts with "Bad magic of `gmatch'"

Dear All, Thank you for your help with the MARC-import failures. In case anyone is experiencing trouble with large MARC-import-files that do not complete after staging: our faulty MARC records were hiding between 20 to 50 records after the last record successfully imported. Having mastered the import, the zebra indexing fails with the following message and no records can be searched: 09:28:14-11/05 zebraidx(13250) [warn] Bad magic of `gmatch' 09:28:14-11/05 zebraidx(13250) [fatal] Node node_zebra missing 09:28:14-11/05 zebraidx(13250) [warn] Cannot obtain EXPLAIN information 09:28:14-11/05 zebraidx(13250) [fatal] zebra_begin_trans: cannot open register Any hints how to deal with this error message would be warmly appreciated.
