Koha Bulk Addition of Items

I'm a librarian for a school which manages all student texts. Needless to say I have a large number of each textbook, somewhere around 150 to 200 for each. We had previously stored these in a Non-marc based access database. Question on authorised values

Hi all, I would like to ask something about authorised values. I created some authorised values - contaning of an auth. value (normally an abbreviation) and its description. I would like to ask how this values are intended: is it the value self, or its description, what a patron can see? In Opac Detailed View (no XSLT) there appears the value (the abbreviation). So it is also in Staff Client MARC View. On the contrary, during the cataloguing, there appears a pop-up menu with descriptions of auth. values. Also in the Enhanced MARC View in OPAC, one can see only the descriptions. So I would like to ask which should be the text a patron can see: the abbreviation or the description? Or, is there a bug? Opac XSLT: Problem with displaying of authorized values

I want to define authorised values for some fields - for ex. 657 (Term of function) or 650 (Topical term). However, in OPAC (with XSLT on), the content of these fields doesn't appear, but there appears only the letter "a". I removed the definition that the fields 657 and 650 contain authorised values, and everything was OK, so the problem must be in how Koha display fields with authorized values. Zebra and Italian records

Hi, a question of the Koha installer is: Koha supplies Zebra configuration files tuned for searching either English (en) or French (fr) MARC records. Primary language for Zebra indexing (en, fr) [en] Which is the best choice for Italian records? I wasn't able to find something useful in http://www.indexdata.dk/zebra/doc/. Thanks a lot. Stefano

hi i installed koha 3 on ubuntu i have a problem in saving records i searched for tha error in internet and try every thing with zebra and yaz finally when i run rebuild no zebra it's working good and save record i want to know the difference between when i run zebra and no zebra in spite of i was choose zebra in first installation page and ant another solutions for saving records ..... thank's

Problems with opac-reserve.pl

I'm having problems placing items on hold in the 3.0.2 release -- when logged into the OPAC, clicking on the "Place Hold" results in a nasty error in opac-reserve.pl I am testing on an a cleanly installed RedHat Enterprise Linux v5.3 server with Koha 3.0.2.
