When i open a record's details, specifically book, the FULL CALL NUMBER displayed is in DDC format. How can i make the default FULL CALL NUMBER display format to LCC?

Koha Post Installation setup Questions

Hi All, I installed Koha 3.00.03 this summer on a computer running OS X Server 10.5. After some initial difficulty getting the installation (documented), things seem to be running smoothly, but being my first Koha install, there are a few things that I still have questions about. 1. The library was previously using a Follet system and the archivist imported the MARC records into Koha. I didn't see any errors on the import, but it appears that a number of the records don't show up in the OPAC search. Additionally, some records show up in the intranet search but not OPAC, and some don't show up at all. I've run the rebuild_nozebra script a couple of times, but that doesn't seem to help. I've been looking at the koha error logs and these are the messages that seem to repeat most often: opac-search.pl: Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/opac-search.pl line 418., referer: http://koha-catalog.stmchs.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl [Thu Aug 20 13:02:13 2009] opac-detail.pl: Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1132., referer: http://koha-catalog.stmchs.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=mark+twain (the second error repeats for other queries as well) 2. I seem to be having an error with the Amazon web images as well. Images appear if they were previously listed in our old Follet records, but koha doesn't seem to be pulling any new ones. I'm going to try signing up for a new Amazon web services account just in case, but I wasn't sure if there is anything in particular I should be looking for in the logs. Does anybody know which port the requests are made for the web services? I'm beginning to wonder if it is a firewall issue that may be blocking things. Thanks, Joe Fahs

Koha3.2 and the "global change" feature

Hi, What kind of global change functionalities will be available in Koha 3.2 ? I've read that Liblime was working on it (http://www.slideshare.net/gmcharlt/koha-32-status and http://www.web2learning.net/archives/2781 ) but did not see anything about "global change" in the 3.2 roadmap (http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=en:development:roadmap3.2 ). Changelanguage div in Koha Staff Client

The footer section of the Koha Staff Client allows changing the interface language. In Koha 3.00.03 it is displayed in a wrong way, IMO, as in the attached screenshot. Note that: - the "language" system preference is correctly set to "es-ES,en,it-IT"; - I had to manipulate the intranet-tmpl/prog/en/staff-global.css file to view all the div section. Its height was only 2em, so only the 1st half part of the div was visible. A bug in the html template? Thank you. Stefano

importing records into Koha

I upload a batch file of record for Koha and import them. I then run a cron job for rebuilding the zebra index and receive the message "no output generated". What does this mean? Comparing book cover services

In Koha, book jackets can come from Amazon, Google Books, Syndetics, Baker & Taylor, LibraryThing or Babeltheque. In my production opac (not Koha) I'm using covers from openlibrary.org. Problem with manage stage MARC records

Hi, I am testing out the importing of MARC records to KOHA, encountered this problem. I tried on the liblime demo and then our own installation but it does not work exactly the same. My Problem: 1) In our installation, under the "manage staged MARC records, after i click on import into catalogue the table below does not have a column for *'Bib"* only citation, status, match? which is different from the liblime demo. Why is this so?? 2) After clicking on the icon "import into catalogue" , i try a a search on the opac but does not retrieved the record at all. So i repeated the import a few more times. 3) When i tried to do a search on the catalogue a few days later, i retrieved 10 records of the same thing. In this case How do i delete what has been uploaded to the "import reservior"? I tried reverting the import but the records still appear in my opac search. Appreciates if someone can help advise how to do this correctly? > Thanks! Wei2

Koha Flyer

Hi all, A School Koha user here in NZ is putting together a flyer & poster on Koha for a conference in September they are speaking at and wondered if others had already done something similar and if there were resources they could use or at least base their efforts on. I don't have anything that's less than a couple of years old.
