Urgent Request - Duplicate Titles on the OPAC
by Akin Adigun 11 Mar '10

11 Mar '10

Kindly help!!! I am using koha 3.0.1 on open suse 11.1 and nozebra. I noticed that koha is dupilcating titles on the OPAC search. The books under each duplicate are the same (same barcode and other marc field). I check the biblio table at the backend on the database (mysql) and find just one instance of the title. I also use the catalogue search I found that only one instance of the record. I rebuild the index by running the ./rebuild_nozebra in the migration_tools and the situation remain the same. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Barcode growing too fast when adding holdings
by PasiK 10 Mar '10

10 Mar '10

When adding holdings to marc-records the barcode Koha suggests is growing far too fast. In settings "autobarcode" is set to "incremental", but at the moment we're at 1529047567. We do not have 1.5 billion items at our library. It started acting up like this: 1524, 15257, 15283, 152847. Well it's incremental, but we would wery much prefer fixed size and predictable increments :D Any ideas on this? -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Barcode-growing-too-fast-when-adding-holdings-tp27856… Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

inventory - use barcode file - not working
by Nelson Fredsell 10 Mar '10

10 Mar '10

Under Tools | Inventory/Stocktaking we want to make a go of the option on the right of the screen: "Use a barcode file." http://www.[base url]/cgi-bin/koha/tools/inventory.pl 1) I haven't found documentation to state the format of the file, i.e. CSV, TXT (comma separated or TAB?). 2) I've tried one barcode for testing purposes, but have not been successful getting an updated Date Last Seen. When I click Submit, the screen flickers, the designated barcode.txt file disappears, and the date I've assigned also disappears. I pull up the biblio/item and no change has been made. Any suggestions? We're in 3.00.01.005. Re: [Koha] Marking items missing?
by Kathy Rippel 10 Mar '10

It's even easier if you are already on the patron's screen. Simply click on the barcode of the item and it will take you to the screen Owen mentions (item details (catalogue/moredetail.pl)) You can change it right there as he showed. Kathy PS--I just found your other message that you were not barcoded. Simply click on the title on the patron's record and then click on the ITEMS tab on the left to get to the item details screen. At 02:18 PM 3/9/2010, you wrote: > > My guess would be 952$1 Lost status. But you have to move from > > circulation to cataloguing to change it. > >You do not have to do this in cataloging. no item type and Not Renewable
by Marty 10 Mar '10

10 Mar '10

Finally I have a running Zebra version of Koha. Very powerful search feature I must say. Of course I still have some issues, the main one being that nothing is renewable. Not a single thing, although all our items are at least 3 times renewable. The other thing is that my itemtypes do not show up. When I am on the check out page, I got the following headers; Due Date, Title, Item type, Checked out on, Call no, Charge, Price, Renew, Check in Under the headers are all the appropriate values, except under Item type, which is blank (always!) and under Renew, where it says 'Not Renewable' (for everything!) and 'Not Renewable' seems usually preceded by the number 2. As far as I know all the settings are correct. Everything else seems to work properly so far. Thanks for any ideas and help, Marty Koha Version 3.00.04.019, Debian Leny __________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
