Re: [Koha] Registering as a support provider at koha-community.org

Hi, I think we should avoid scattering information about who supports Koha- it's the last thing that potential new users need. I like Reed Wade's idea of a checklist that people can choose to apply when they make enquiries. > Message: 2 > Date: Sun, 9 May 2010 00:38:56 +1200 > From: Reed Wade<reedwade(a)gmail.com> > Subject: Re: [Koha] Registering as a support provider at > koha-community.org > To: MJ Ray<mjr(a)phonecoop.coop> > Cc:Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz > Message-ID: > <n2h4ad14f8e1005080538w37b6b9e3wf38633c1277dd0e4(a)mail.gmail.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 > > On Sat, May 8, 2010 at 6:18 AM, MJ Ray<mjr(a)phonecoop.coop> wrote: > > >> > Can we add a solidarity clause? ?Do we want to list support providers >> > There was a bit of discussion on this point in the IRC mtg. Available items limiter: No Result found ! - Common Problem
by massoud alshareef 10 May '10

10 May '10

Hi, I have noticed that several Koha website gives the same error message: *No Result found ! N*o results match your search for “ ..." when a Koha OPAC user tries to limit search results by the Available items (currently available items<http://badir.maktabat-online.net/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=software&lim…> ). We are running Koha 3.00.5 on Debian. Does anyone have a fix for this (apparently) common problem, or understand its cause ? Thanks Massoud M. AlShareef, KnowledgeWare Tech

fines problem
by Kate Etheredge 10 May '10

10 May '10

Hi Everyone, I have a new problem -- fines are not working. The items are marked as overdue. I've been told the fines cronjob is running. There is no grace period set up and fines only accrue on days we are open. When I check the fines log, there is nothing there. Any thoughts? Thanks so much! Kate

Registering as a support provider at koha-community.org
by Jim Minges 10 May '10

Re: Registering as a support provider at koha-community.org I want to strongly endorse the decision *not* to place restrictions and conditions on listing of support providers on koha-community.org. Much of the problem with Koha.org began with an attempt to restrict who could be listed on that web site. NEKLS has strongly supported koha-community.org in the belief that it would be a totally open koha web presence. I totally am on board with Liz Rea's position in the IRC discussion on this: "I want the official website to be inclusive to a fault." Let's concentrate on making great software to serve libraries. Amazon Questions
by Nicole Engard 10 May '10

10 May '10

Hi all, I have some questions about Amazon Content. I'm working on a test dev system on Debian and have all of the Amazon preferences turned on. I have entered my associate ID and my private key as is required, but only cover images are showing for me. At first I thought it was the slash that was in my private key that was causing an issue so I had Amazon generate a new code and it too did nothing to get additional content to show. I'm up for any suggestions - maybe my system is set up funny or someone else is having the same issues as I am. Nicole

Dear Friends, How can we prepare an organized report (including author, title, keywords etc.) from marcxml from biblioitems. Some data elements (e.g. keyword) stored in marxml , normal case that cant be retrieved using normal SQL query. It will be helpful few more examples regarding report generating from marcxml table. Re: [Koha] production mode - trapped fatal error
by Susan Mustafa 10 May '10

Do you know if it installed correctly? I would recommend installing it through CPAN. If you tried to install it as a root user, then delete the /root/.cpan/Metadata file and /root/.cpan/Build directory If you ran it as another user, like susan, then delete /home/susan/.cpan/Metadata and /home/susan/.cpan/Build directory then try install it through cpan again sudo cpan cpan> install install CGI::Session::Serialize::yaml If it still gives you this trapped error, there is a chance you might have not installed koha properly. If you like to start again, please go to http://everydaytechy.blogspot.com/ It is a thorough tutorial.
