Activate XSLT?
by Magdalena Söderqvist 12 May '10

12 May '10

Dear Koha-friends, would anyone happen to know WHERE and HOW you set XSLTDetailsDisplay and XSLTResultsDisplay to ON? Do you enter something in the empty boxes in Systempreferences/OPAC, or is it done elsewhere? by Vimal Kumar 12 May '10

Dear Daniel, I applied the SQL query in Tools > Reports > Guided Reports Wizard > Create from SQL. I saved the csv file. But CSV file contain the following message, <h1>Koha error</h1> <p>The following fatal error has occurred:</p> <pre><code>Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/reports/guided_reports.pl line 461. </code></pre> <table> Can you check what the problem happened while generating report? Following is the SQL query for the reference of other community members who have interest in this topic, SELECT extractValue(marcxml," collection/record/datafield[@tag='952'][1]/subfield[@code='p']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='024'][1]/subfield[@code='a']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='020'][1]/subfield[@code='a']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='100'][1]/subfield[@code='a']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='245'][1]/subfield[@code='a']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='650'][1]/subfield[@code='a']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='500'][1]/subfield[@code='a]"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='520'][1]/subfield[@code='a']"), extractValue(marcxml,"collection/record/datafield[@tag='650'][1]/subfield[@code='a']") FROM biblioitems I request other community members attention to this topic. by Sheldon T. 12 May '10

12 May '10

Hello, We have installed Koha 3.0.0.4 along with the sample data that came with it and now we want to get rid of that data and start afresh. Can we safely empty the database without affecting Koha in any way? Authority control
by Amy Schuler 11 May '10

11 May '10

Hello, For some reason none of my biblios have authorities associated with them. The authority records exist, because I imported them and am able to find them when I search, but they have no biblios associated with them. I wonder why this is (maybe I should have imported the authorities first?) but regardless, this is how it is. Is there an easy way to establish authority control, linking the authorities with the bibs? If I reimport my bibs, will the link between the authorities and bibs be created? Thanks! Amy C. How to extract data from marcxml.biblioitmes ?
by Vimal Kumar 11 May '10

11 May '10

Dear Friends, I would like to prepare a report from "marcxml" field in "biblioitems" table. The report should include author, title, subject and abstract. I got some hint from koha wiki page, http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SQL_Reports_Library#Query_MARC But I failed to wrote an SQL query for the purpose. I am not familiar with writing query to extract data from XML part in MySQL. Can you help me to prepare a report from "marcxml" ? If anybody from developers or users give guideline with examples, that will be a good contribution to Koha community. -- Vimal Kumar V. Asst. Help with Independent Branches
by Mark Osborne 11 May '10

11 May '10

Kia ora, Albany Senior High School and Rosmini College in NZ are embarking on a wonderful voyage of collaboration by setting up our libraries as independent branches of the same library. The plan is for us to be able to collaborate on things like interloans and a shared digital library. While I know a lot of districts have already done this, it's new to our schools. Is there somewhere we can go to find out more about independent branches? This page is a start, but only really covers turning the feature on: http://koha.org/documentation/manual/3.0/administration/global-system-prefe… -- Hei konā mai, Mark Osborne Deputy Principal, Albany Senior High School. Registering as a support provider at koha-community.org
by Liz Rea 11 May '10

11 May '10

This information is also found online at: http://koha-community.org/support/paid-support/how-to-get-listed/ So you want to be listed as an official Koha Support provider? It's easy: Send an email of introduction to the Koha mailing list containing (a) a request to be added (b) description of services offered and contact information. You may copy and paste the following short form into your email if you like: Company Name: Contact Person: Contact email: Website: Telephone: Address: Short description of your services: Entries will be added if they represent a current proffer of Koha services. Entries that are obviously spam (i.e., not relevant to Koha services) will not be accepted. From time to time, the Koha webmasters may check vendors to see if they currently offer services. If a company no longer does, their entry may be removed. All removals will be posted publicly to the Koha mailing list. A vendor may request that their entry be removed at any time. These guidelines were adopted at the 5 May 2010 IRC meeting. Notes from the meeting can be found at http://stats.workbuffer.org/irclog/koha/2010-05-05#i_434509.
