I should add a few clarifications to that preliminary proof-of-concept-patch: -- The patch is against the installed koha tree (since that's what I patched during development), not (as it, of course, should become in the long run) against the source tree. -- The (german-language) Template included in the enhancement request is meant solely as an example on how to use the <item> and <total> patterns. It's not even what you would really send to a german-speaking book seller. -- To try the patch, you need to create a new letter/notice/mail template along the lines of said example under the new module name ``orders'' with code ``ORDERMAIL''. Of course, that's just the names I chose during development and subject to change. Any feedback, suggestions etc. welcome.

[koha] mail configuraiton help

Hello all. I have been running koha in my server for about 10 libraries. Each of them have a different public IP for accesssing. What are the things that I need inorder to use the mail functionality for sending overdue notices and other related functions? Is there some step by step guide for it? We already have a mail server at some other IP address, so is it possible to use that server as mail server for koha as well or is it necessary that the machine that has koha server, should also have mail server configured in it? new button is not working for adding new patron

Maltiple Volumes Barcode number

In our library we have Multiple volumes for exaple same author , title we have 20 copies after creating marc record when we are entering ITEM details. can I create 20 record at a time bez all the item details are same is there any Possibility?

please help me I prepared SQL query and I run this query i got report on browser view point but but when I down load this file the data is export .CVSFILE It will dispaly window and asking the following information Character set : UNICODE(UTF-8) Language all the data into on row one column which is not well organized Row X Columns my question is how to get data Barcode No Author Title rate 1 2 3 4 Thank you

Koha email question.

Hi all I have question, does koha can sent automatic mail to patrons when books on hold is avainable? I mean patrons reserve books, and when it become available, he got message. Or another situation, patron check out books, and in two days he must return or renew it. He got mail please return or renew item/books. It is posible? If yes when i can start find option to config/set up this.?

I've written a patch that may possibly serve as a base for including support into Koha's Acquisition module to send orders to booksellers by email. See bug 5260, http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=5260. Comments welcome. Note that this is just a preliminary version, more or less a proof-of-concept for evaluating the use of Koha for acquisitions at our library.

Does koha3 have reservations books?

Hi I can't "Place Hold" on item which is not check Out(by admin interface). On check out item i can Place Hold(by admin interface). It is normal? I can't Place Hold in client interface (127.0.1.1) becouse there is no Place Hold button. So my question is : Koha 3 have reservation books by client or not? I use last stable official version (3.00. ... ) and ubuntu 10.4. Please help.
