Dear Friends, KohaCon 2011 in India will make waves among libraries. Definitely it will make positive effects in library automation market in India Prestigious libraries and government agencies are trying to check feasibility of Koha in India. Libraries under the control of Government of Kerala started to use Koha. Delhi public library is another example to highlight. KohaCon 2011 can open the eyes of professional organizations for librarians, library schools and Government machinery. We have to consider that, number of Koha users are growing in India. What do I do with my MARC records?

Hello I've used MARCEdit to import an Excel spreadsheet of ISBNs, Titles and Authors. I found out how to then import this to Koha. But the data is incomplete. Is there a way to add to my MARC records from a z39.50 source? Can this be done within Koha, or should it be done in MARCEdit? I would like to have full information, Dewey classes, Publisher, Date, etc. for each of the records. I have 2133 books and so really wanted to do it by import rather than add each one individually. Has anyone any quick ways of doing this? Question about adding a item custom field for UNIMARC 955?

Hello, I am trying to find if there is a default unimarc field to store a specific item data. None of the existing 955* subfields is suitable and I will have to also change the structure of Koha to allow for such field to be added since acquisition. My plan was to do the following steps: - choose an unused 955 subfield for my value - modify koha database to create an equivalent field in the items table - modify koha interface to handle this field in the acquisition module But I wanted to ask if someone already did something similar. My field is item specific and associated to multiple items. It's specific registry number given each time new acquisitions are made and it's different from the invoice no. slow koha

Good morning, Koha has been running painfully slow for the past 2 or 3 days over here. It doesn't appear to be our internet connection, because everything else is moving pretty regularly. Hi! Could someone help me? After I had cataloged my books, I did a search, on Intranet. Koha showed me a list with all my cataloged itens. When I clicked on page 2 of the list, I had the error: *Can't call method "as_usmarc" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Search.pm line 2388. * I'm using Koha 3.00.06 and I googled it and this problem occurs on: http://library.gretsauniversity.ac.ke/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=au:Hill… , but in OPAC. SearchMyLibraryFirst No Result found

Hello I am testing Koha for a multiple branch library. When I set SearchMyLibraryFirst to Limit, books are not found in the search when student is logged in, but are viewable on search when student not logged in. Not using Zebra yet. The student and book are both set to the same location.
