Importing records preserving the system number
by Stefano Bargioni 31 Jan '11

31 Jan '11

I'm trying to migrate about 140,000 records. Each of them has 001 with the original value. I copied it into 999c and 999d. Importing in Koha, 999c and 999d are replaced by a new (autoincremented) bibliotemnumber. How can I force Koha to assign bibliotemnumbers using 001 or 999c/d? Thank you. SB

Koha wiki maintenance change
by Galen Charlton 31 Jan '11

31 Jan '11

Hi, To combat a recent spate of spamming on the wiki [1], in order to edit a page the wiki now requires that your account has a confirmed email address. Specifically, this means that new users will be required to supply an email address when they create an account, then respond to an email sent by the wiki in order to confirm the account. If you already have an account on the wiki but are no longer able to edit pages, you will need to confirm your email address. To do so: 1. Log in with your account. 2. Go to the preferences page [2] 3. Add an email address if necessary 4. In the email section, click on the link or button to send a confirmation email. If the wiki says that it already sent you an email, you will need to have it resend it. 5. Follow the instructions in the email to confirm your account. I apologize for any inconvenience. If you run into any problems, please feel free to email me or one of the other wiki administrators [3] directly. by Koustubha Kale 31 Jan '11

Dear Prawesh, Please post to the list. That way many more people can help you. Koha version you are using supports unicode. Please let us know ( from my last mail )... 2) This error may be caused by bad characters in the marc record ( reff : http://stats.workbuffer.org/irclog/koha/2010-06-28 ) Did you type in the catalogue info or did you copy paste from somewhere? 3) Do you have display results using XSLT turned on? If yes try turning it off.. 4) Also try to upgrade to latest stable version of koha 3.2.3 available at koha-community.org Also could you let me know Regards, Koustubha Kale Anant Corporation Contact Details : Address : 103, Armaan Residency, R.
