leading zeroes in 001 and UseControlNumber
by Linda Culberson 03 Jun '11

03 Jun '11

All, Is there a way to use UseControlNumber to use the record control number ($w subfields) and control number (001) for linking of the bibliographic records if the 001 has leading zeroes? Or, is there a way to strip the leading zeroes short of manipulating the marc record and reloading? What we've found is that what we really are wanting to match now are either the absolute value of the control number or the biblionumber. Thanks in advance. -- Linda Culberson lculber(a)mdah.state.ms.us Archives and Records Services Division Ms. Dept. of Archives & History P. O. Please always use the mailing list as you will have access to a larger pool of resources there. This is pretty much a "won't fix" bug in Koha. I recently submitted a fix which will cure most errors of this nature, but will *not* cure the actual unicode problems. You will need to upgrade to the latest 3.2.x or 3.4.x release to get the fix. Kind Regards, Chris

cover images in koha
by Caitlin McGurk 03 Jun '11

03 Jun '11

Hey all- Is there anyway to upload cover images for each book into Koha? We're currently importing covers from Amazon for our books with ISBNS. However, we're hoping to create records for our student work (comic books) and would like to scan and add these covers to be displayed in the record as well. Any ideas? Bulk Uploadng of Member Records in Koha from Excel
by R Sunil Kumar 03 Jun '11

03 Jun '11

Dear All, Can anybody suggest the complete process of bulk upload of patron records, which is available in Excel sheet. For uploading the patron images, I believe you just need to scan and edit the image to the unique id name, so that it will automatically take the image from the folder.
