Koha problem with linked 110 author searches only using subfield a

All, After running a basic search, when we click on an author that is in an 110 field the result only uses the subfield a when we need it to use the subfield b also. elementSetName for Z39.50 servers

The main Italian catalog SBN can be accessed using opac.sbn.it:3950/nopac Its defaults are format sutrs and elementSetName B. However elementSetName B returns very simple records. Koha (3.2.7) allows to change the format. Can I change the elementSetName to F? Thanks. Stefano

Authority record update

I'm a newbie in Koha, so I'm trying it on a virtual appliance (Koha ver. 3.02 on Debian Lenny). I wonder why while updating an authority record (ie. Person Name) the related bibliographic records are left unchanged. That kind of behaviour is regardless the system preference: 'Authority dontmerge' in my case. It works contrary to the official Koha 3.2 manual (5.3.3 Editing Authorities). Can anybody be so kind to explain me that disadvantage? Best regards, Piotr Kowalski GWSH Poland, EU

I think there is an article on it in the wiki. Atleast used to be as I had put it in the old ko.org wiki. Presentations should cover topics of interest to current and future users of Koha. finding aids in koha

Out of curiosity, has anyone had any luck using finding aids in Koha? If so, I would love a link to an example of a library catalog that is using Koha and has finding-aids. Wondering what a good substitution would be if it can't be easily done. database upgrade errors (3.0.5-->3.4.x)

Hello all, Just looking for reassurance that the errors I'm seeing in my database upgrade output are nothing to worry about. Most of them are messages about tables, columns and entries already existing in the database. There is one that I've highlighted below that looks more worrisome. http://pastebin.com/zNgxik9Q Line 161: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`koha/#sql-755_1d`, CONSTRAINT `subscriptionroutinglist_ibfk_2` FOREIGN KEY (`subscriptionid`) REFERENCES `subscription` (`subscriptionid`) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE) at installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl line 3835. 1. Am I correct about the duplicate tables, columns & entries errors not being a concern? 2. We don't use the serials routing list; can I ignore this error? Thanks for your time! Cataloging books which doesn't have ISBN etc.,

Hi, I am trying to catalog the books which doesn't have any ISBN etc., for me to import. I was using Marcedit and sometimes directly from Koha to add books. However, I was not able to make out how to store the cover image of the book. I want to scan the book myself and store it so that when the book is searched, it shows the image as well along with the other details of the book entered. Can you please help me out?
