Multiple item types which are really the same in advanced search options

Hello, Is there a way to combine different item types in the advanced search options. We have to types of book items those that "float" and those that are always returned to their home branch. How to setup Koha for monthly rental reading fee?

Hi, We are in the setup of Koha system for our circulation library. How to setup Koha where we can collect monthly reading fee. In this setup, the patron can check out/check a 1/2/3 book(s) any number of times within a month. When he/she finishes one month of duration of membership, they should pay the monthly reading rental fee. 1. I tried to use Fines and Circulation rules module. It is possible to setup fine if a patron has crossed the number of days he/she supposed to keep the book or items. But how to make if possible depending on the duration? I meant if the "Loan Period" is crossed the "Fine Amount" is applicable. But this is based on the items crossing the time limit. Is it possible to modify this in such a way that, I can apply this for one month duration? 2. Also I tried with Enrollment fee in the Patron Category. Is it possible to repeat this on every month basis? Request for your kind help. I hope you understood my requirement. Hello community. I am looking for assistance with setting up the SIPServer for Overdrive access. I am new to SIP and have found various docs on how to setup SIP with 3M machines, but not a lot about Overdrive. I have setup a SIP user as staff with circ access and configured the SIPServer.xml. I can start the SIP service and log in. When I telnet in to the service, I get the following: ### telnet session ### telnet my.host.org 8023 Trying 1.11.11.11... Connected to my.host.org. Escape character is '^]'. login: abcsip password: driveover Login OK. I set mine to 0000000000 in the Message 63 to get a 64 that didn't start 64YYYY. Could someone please explain to me how to get at least PC PF and AQ from the Patron Information? Hi All, I have heaps of questions but I will reign back my enthusiasm and put one question per email. I have version to 3.02.06. I would like to use the label creator to create batches of spine labels. It works fine but pulls call number from the itemcallnumber field and doesn't format it. The text sits on the label in one line - eg. BUL FUL 2011 - too wide for book spines and too small and difficult to read if I reduce the font size and stick it on the book spine sideways. I would like to break the call number up into three lines so the three elements of the call number can be read from top to bottom. eg. BUL FUL 2011 Our collection was totally lost in the January floods and I'm looking to replace the collection in the next few months. Getting this feature working right would be a big time saver. Currently I'm manually typing in the call numbers. Mike, The 3M Standard Interchange Protocol doesn't define PC or PF fields. Ordinarily the AQ field isn't associated with patrons, it's associated with items and designates their "permanent location". The summary field works like this: Position Definition 0 hold items 1 overdue items 2 charged items 3 fine items 4 recall items 5 unavailable holds 6 fee items Despite the fact that there are only 7 defined fields the field length is required to be 10 characters so the last 3 are always spaces. Placing a Y in any of the fields is basically a request for that field's detailed information is requested in addition to the summary information. If you do not wish the detailed information then use a space character (ASCII code $20) in that field on the 63 request. Only one category of items should be requested at a time, so, for example, to get the detailed information on charged items and fine items you would need to make 2 requests 63002YYYYMMDDZZZZHHMMSS Y....... and then 63002YYYYMMDDZZZZHHMMSS Y....... Parsing each response for the information requested. All of this is based on SIP version 2.
